I spent most of my 20s blowing up dinosaurs – mostly by dragging knee on race tracks along the east coast on Japanese race bikes.

When a moto buddy ask if you are into going to a bucket list track to hang and spectate, it’s an easy yes – even on a 36 hour turn and burn.

It’s even cooler when your friend’s friend used to race with Team Principles. JMF Motorsports graciously gave us a quick tour and answered our questions when comparing 2 and 4 wheel Motorsport.

Especially when it is less than an hour before the big event.

I took my fun camera out to snap a few frames of the race and environment. With no media pass and wanting to be in the mix vs making images, I decided to avoid the super tight images that make up the prime locations. It was fun making some images reminiscent to the early days of owning a camera. Pulled back and strictly for the vibes.

The biggest treat was going to the museum. If you are a gearhead, this place is a straight Mecca. I need to go back and dedicate an entire day to just taking in over 100 years of Motorsport and engineering marvels.

Seeing classic race bikes of those that won championships and changemakers that are no longer with us is a humbling experience. It makes all the feelings from committing so much time and energy to a sport or thing come alive.

Around the iPhone 6, slow motion clips took over the internet since it was available to everyone with a cell phone.

I have my hands on a Freefly for a bit, and I am bringing back those same vibes while I do what I gotta do.

Sports are fast and action packed. It’s nice to slow things down a bit to get into the moment. It helps to connect with what athletes are truly doing in the thick of their sport.

Buckle up and enjoy. What sport should I capture next?

Good gear makes it easier to focus on the craft itself.

Fujifilm X Series US helped me throw a clinic at NICA Eastern regionals last year to arm student-athletes and recent alums with some cameras to capture the weekend.

It was awesome watching students run around with all the curiosity and energy to document their friends and competitors during the weekend.

Should we do this again?
