Some days photography isn't about getting the perfect shot.
It's about capturing moments that matter.
I had the opportunity to volunteer my photography services for the Warrior's Never Give Up fishing tournament and spend the day around veterans, volunteers, sponsors, and families who came together for a common purpose.
The fish will eventually be forgotten. The conversations, laughter, friendships, and memories made on the water are what will last.
Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to the veterans who continue to inspire us through their resilience, service, and commitment to one another.
It was an honor to document a small part of your story.

On my way to the veterans fishing tournament, I was already running 30 minutes behind schedule after finding out our meeting location wasn't the actual fishing spot, adding another 30 minutes to my drive.
I kept wanting to stop for the sunrise, but I knew I needed to keep moving. That changed when I looked up and saw what appeared to be a "double sun" breaking through the clouds.
I knew I was looking at something special and that it would be gone in moments.
I pulled over, grabbed my camera from my bag, pointed it out the window, changed my settings on the fly, and managed to fire off two quick shots before the scene disappeared.
I knew tgat it was something that I probably would never see again.

Sometimes the best photographs aren't planned. They're the ones that force you to stop, even when you're already late.

Tried the Oscar Filet special at Ridgeline Roadhouse yesterday and it was absolutely worth it. Perfectly cooked steak, incredible flavor, and great service from start to finish. If you’re out in the Black Hills and haven’t stopped there yet, you’re missing out. The staff are amazing people and the atmosphere makes the experience even better.
