Good bye David Lynch. Here are a couple photos from his hometown of Missoula, MT. I worked at an indie video store in Missoula at the turn of the century and a dog-eared copy of  Eraserhead was the jewel of the shop, requiring a large deposit to check out. The rumor was that Dennis Hopper’s character from Blue Velvet was based on an elevator operator at the Wilma hotel who wore an oxygen mask. I doubt it, but Missoula would have been a trough of inspiration in earlier days with its wild characters and dark underbelly. Twin Peaks changed my life and Bob will always haunt me. RIP David Lynch
