Legacy Archival Preservation After 40 years as a professional photographer, my heart has shifted from capturing moments to preserving them.

I help families transform photo boxes and digital overwhelm into organized, meaningful archives so their stories can be passed on. Brand New to the NoDa Arts district, but not new to Charlotte. We have provided 30 years of photography service to Charlotte NC and, when requested, throughout the USA. We specialize in Senior Portraits as well as families,pets,dance schools and school photography. Special events , from weddings to family reunions, are also covered by our professional staff.

Throwing back a bit…. To one of my first practice photo sessions of friend’s daughters. (1982/83?)
I used a Nikon soft focus on a 330 twin lens camera (a camera you had to look down and see subject backwards) and hot lights/boom hair-light over head, shot in a spare bedroom. The out-door image was shot with a Nikon 35mm.
♥️ I look in disbelief on how incredibly blessed Ive been to have found a passion, instructors, mentors and drive that captured moments in time. These girls have grown, they have children and grandchildren of their own…. These moments will never return and are usually forgotten until you see a glimpse of an image…. captured and preserved!

Not bad for a beginner portrait photographer 😱

It’s Sandy from Photographic Elegance!
After 40+ years as your professional photographer, I never imagined closing my studio doors… but life had other plans.

Still, one thing never changed —
the importance of the moments we captured together.

After a few years, I’m stepping back in… just in a different way.

I’ve come to realize —
taking the photo is only the beginning.
What happens to those memories after… matters just as much.

We all have the boxes.
The albums.
The files sitting on phones and computers.
The overwhelm…
And most, don’t know where to start.
