My father placed this Cross on my Grandmother & Grandfather’s land
[Our Family’s Home]
many years ago now and when up visiting just this past weekend my daughter asked to go hike to see it 🤍 you guys I’ll tell you something, taking a few simple photos of this memory in the making was one thing (because you can’t always tell exactly how your images will turn out until you revisit them and even then, until you edit them sometimes) I knew the photos I was taking were going to be very special to me, my family & well I thought, just for memory’s sake. So, I took a few of them … … … I truly did not know that revisiting & editing them that they would take my breath away! Making me happily tear up with such pride, joy & beautiful emotions!
{THIS IS WHY I DO WHAT I DO}

“So why not use your first name for your business” (Aleah-a name I’m better known by)
Here’s a long reason why:
Yes Samara is my middle name, people say “oh wow what a beautiful name” [Aleah Samara Lunday] “where did it originate from”, “what’s your nationality” [most think it’s Hawaiian] and “why did your parents name you that”.?.?-the list goes on. Everyone’s always intrigued by my name (as I’ve always been as well)
I truly don’t know where the name ‘ideas’ came from really or why my parents named me this. Definitely a question for them 😄 maybe they’ll comment but let’s just say the other name option that they had at the time I am glad didn’t stick… not a bad name at all. It’s actually kinda ‘cutesy’. I’m just very happy with the name they named me-it fits..
Pollyanna(that’s the 2nd option 😄).. Nope I’m definitely not a Pollyanna…
My Nationality is many many things but mostly White/Native American Indian (you know the Chippewa kind 😉) -so nope name didn’t originate from there…
Longish story cut kinda short- I wanted a Strong meaning behind the photos I take, if I am going to put my name on all of your photos or they are being represented by me. I wanted to put my best out there, for you! You deserve my best when it comes to my passion and your valuable memories🤍
“Samara: is a female given name. It is of Arabic and Hebrew origin and its meaning is guardian or protected by God.”
