Ever since I was a little girl I’ve loved taking pictures. I’ve been the subject and the person behind the lens. I remember being obsessed with my parents black Kodak camera.. to me it was state of the art for the early 2000’s. I always obsessed over childhood photos digital and film. I’d make my friends and my little sister do their photo shoots. Back when my favorite editing software was picnik. I remember ensuring one of my junior high electives was photography. I still laugh at the fact I made so many people mad at my first place ribbon in high school with my picnik edited photo similar to this over table rock lake for the digital manipulation category. I know it seems silly but to me it’s no joke this is truly my life’s passion I live for those connections you make, the art of capturing a photo of someone in time is so intimate, it’s captivating, no matter how many times you click the shutter and see that playback sometimes the image still takes your breath away. I’ve heard it said that the usual life cycle of a photographer is 6 years… I just know that will never be me. This is who I am. This is who you’re booking with. This is who when your grandchildren are on your lap looking in a book of photographs (hopefully) is behind the lens.
