Maggie’s Identity Portraits took my breath away. This woman was so brave and vulnerable. Exploring what her adoption journey has and continues to mean for her. Embracing all the complexities not to be more palatable to others but to choose herself. Through this process her words to herself ring with clarity: “Maybe love was never meant to be secured through your disappearance. maybe it comes when you are most fully here. And maybe, for the first time, it doesn’t feel like something you have to earn or hold together, but something you can finally recognize as you. You are the love.”

No doubt the people make this city great. Proof that when we stand together we can endure.

Those little rituals, moments of connection, even the mundane and seemingly uninteresting daily experiences become the things we miss in the future. I'm so excited to photograph the beautiful people signing up for my fall mini sessions in just a few weeks! If you're on the fence here's what I'll say - photos may not seem important until you regret not having them. Like anything time moves forward, our memories fade, and the world changes around us. High quality, expressive images that capture you and/or your family in a season of your life are irreplaceable little treasures that you can return to time and time again. No fading, no changing, just an honest and real transportation of the self to a specific time. Trust me, you won't regret spending the time or the money.
