🐾🐶 Happy National Dog Day! 🐶🐾

National Dog Day felt like the perfect excuse to bring my Pooch Playoffs faces back to the feed.

These pups were part of my very first Pooh Playoffs, a bracket-style competition to find the Top Dog, while raising funds for Colt's Rehab Rescue.

And now I have to ask...

Would you like to see Pooch Playoffs happen again?

I'm not saying it's coming back... yet. But if enough of you want another round, I might just have to make it happen!

Drop a 🐾 or YES in the comments if you'd let your pup compete - and leave your rescue recommendations in the comments!

This is what I LoVE about photography, taking a moment in time and turning it into something you can see, feel, and remember again and again.

❤️📷🖼 It's World Photography Day 🖼📷❤️
And while I LoVE creating beautiful images, photography has never been about just taking a picture for me. It's about the experience, the memories made along the way, and creating something you can enjoy every time you walk past it on your wall or open an album years from now.

Lauren 💖🎷⛳ Class of 2026 Spotlight: ⛳🎷💖

Some senior stories are simply too big for one session.

Lauren's senior portraits took us on two separate adventures, each reflecting a different part of her story.

Our first session around Milwaukee didn't go exactly as planned. Rain changed our original vision, but as often happens, the unexpected led to new opportunities. We explored the Milwaukee Domes 🌵, incorporated a special family connection to the Gettelman name 🍺, and even gave me the opportunity to work in a rented indoor studio for the first time. What could have been a setback became part of the creative process.

For session two, I traveled to Green Bay and photographed at her country club, adding a completely different look and feel to her gallery. The combination of locations gave us the opportunity to create a collection of images that truly reflected who Lauren is and the many experiences that have shaped her senior year.

One of my favorite parts of her session was celebrating her talent as a musician. Including her saxophone allowed us to highlight not just what she has accomplished academically, but also the passion, dedication, and creativity that music has brought to her life.

As both a senior photographer and a proud auntie, it was an honor to document this milestone and create images that reflect the confident, talented young woman she has become.

Congratulations, Lauren! I can't wait to see where your next chapter takes you.

🦩 And just like that, the Class of 2026 spotlight series comes to a close.

This weekend, I'll be photographing my very first Class of 2027 senior, and I couldn't be more excited to begin telling a whole new collection of stories.

To the Class of 2027: your story deserves to be celebrated, too. Whether it's your passions, your favorite places, your people, or the little details that make you you, let's create a senior session that's as unique as your journey.

🏈⚾️✨ Class of 2026 Spotlight: Craig ✨⚾️🏈

Some senior sessions come together exactly as planned. Others evolve into something even better.

Craig's session included a little bit of everything that made his senior year memorable—football, baseball, beach portraits, and even time with his family.

One of my favorite parts of working with Craig was how willing he was to try something different. Whether we were on the football field experimenting with poses or taking advantage of the changing light later in the day, he was always up for the next idea. Those sessions are so much fun because creativity takes over and some of the best images happen when everyone is simply enjoying the moment.

And then there were the family touches. Mom and Dad had one special request involving a favorite tree stump and its roots—a meaningful location that made the session uniquely theirs and added another chapter to the story we were telling.

Senior portraits are about more than sports, activities, or graduation announcements. They're about preserving this season of life and the people, places, and memories that matter most.

I included a family photo from a cub scout adventure where we slept in the Hall of Fame at Lambeau! Many great memories with this family.

Congratulations, Craig! Thank you for making your session such a fun one. Wishing you all the best in the years ahead.

✨ Class of 2027 seniors, your session doesn't have to fit into a box. Whether it's sports, family traditions, favorite locations, or something completely unique to you, let's create a session that tells your story.

⛸️🦋✨ Class of 2026 Spotlight: Hailough ✨🦋⛸️

One of my favorite things about senior sessions is exploring places that become part of a senior's story.

Downtown Milwaukee gave us the perfect mix of architecture, texture, and city charm as we wandered from one location to the next, creating the perfect session.

We celebrated this senior's incredible skating journey by incorporating her skates and medals. Those details represented so much more than a sport - they reflected years of early mornings, dedication, perseverance, and achievements that helped shape who she is today.

As we explored downtown together, every stop added another chapter to her story. The result was a gallery that celebrated not only her accomplishments as a skater, but also the confidence, grace, and excitement of her senior year.

Congratulations, Hailough! Wishing you all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter.

🦩 Class of 2027—your senior session doesn't have to fit a template. Whether it's your favorite city, a meaningful location, a passion you've dedicated years to, or something completely unexpected, let's create a session that's uniquely yours.

⚾️🍂 **Class of 2026 Spotlight: Aaron 🍂⚾️

The best senior sessions are about so much more than great photos—they're about the people who make this season of life unforgettable.

I've known Aaron's family since our oldest children started school together. Over the years, our families have shared many memories and I've had the privilege of photographing his older sister's (Jenna ♡) senior session before celebrating Aaron's senior year as well. Being invited to capture another chapter in their family's story is something I'll never take for granted.

We kept things simple with a baseball-inspired session surrounded by beautiful fall color, creating a gallery that reflected both his love of the game and this exciting season of life.

One of my favorite memories from Aaron's session was having his girlfriend along for part of the experience. Sometimes the best smiles don't come from the photographer behind the camera—they come from someone special standing nearby.

I've always appreciated how supportive this family has been—not only in trusting me with both of their children's senior portraits, but also in choosing to display those memories in their home. Seeing a large canvas from a session become part of a family's everyday life is one of the greatest compliments I can receive. Knowing these portraits will continue to be part of their family's story long after graduation means more than I can say.

Congratulations, Aaron! Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your senior year story. Wishing you nothing but success and happiness in the years ahead. See you in fall!

🦩 **Class of 2027** families, the best senior sessions celebrate more than a graduation. They celebrate the people, relationships, and moments that make your story uniquely yours.
