The most rewarding part of this work is watching the journey to motherhood.

From the anticipation of pregnancy, to the quiet moments of waiting, to meeting the little person who changes everything. Getting to witness these seasons and document the love growing along the way is something I’ll never take for granted. 🥹🤍

Barefoot in the field until the sun began to set.

Running, playing, chasing, and letting the evening unfold around them.

A family so naturally connected, completely at ease with one another, and full of the kind of love that makes you want to stay a little longer.

The kind of summer evening you hope to remember exactly as it felt. ❤️

There’s something extra special about photographing the people you love most.

I’ve gotten to watch this family grow through so many seasons, and now they’re a family of five!! One very loved big sister, two brand new babies, and a whole new rhythm to their days.

Getting to document the little things that make this season theirs, the way they fit together, the tenderness, the chaos, and all the in-between moments means more than I can really put into words.

So grateful to know this family, to love these people, and to have a front row seat to watching them grow. 🤍

Being invited into what’s already happening is where I find the most beauty in the story.

We spent the evening at home, moving through the usual rhythm of this season. A game of chess at the table, coloring together, books before bed, the kids proudly showing me their rooms and favorite toys before we snuck outside to roll around in the grass.

When going through the session planning process, mom shared that time feels like it’s moving so fast right now. More than anything, she didn’t just want to remember how small the kids are, but the way they exist together in this stage of life…the energy, the closeness, and the feeling of their family right now. She talked about the steady presence of her husband, the way they’re connected through it all, and the partnership behind the parenting as they move toward celebrating ten years of marriage.

Nothing needed to be directed. It was all already there.

And I think that’s what sticks with me most when I leave a session is how these ordinary routines quietly become the things we will one day miss.

I think the most meaningful photographs come from letting a family be exactly who they are.

This family invited me into their home for an evening and simply carried on. Scooter rides in the front yard. Popsicles on the front steps. A big sister eager to show her baby brother the world around her. Big feelings. Even bigger laughs.

They didn’t try to create moments for the camera. They trusted that this season, exactly as it is, was enough.

One day the scooter will be left in the garage, the popsicle drips will be gone, and these evenings will look different. Until then, these photographs get to hold onto what home felt like in this season. 🥹💛

Some seasons ask you to slow down. Others ask you to simply keep up.

This one was full of movement, little hands reaching for mom and dad, contagious laughter, and two boys who couldn’t be more different in all the best ways. One finding comfort by staying close, the other making sure everyone around him was smiling.

There’s something really special about documenting a family exactly as they are. Preserving the personalities, the connections, and the beautiful rhythm of this season before it quietly becomes the next.

The little things have a way of becoming the big things with time. That’s what I hope these photographs always bring them back to. 💛

The best part about photographing families isn’t getting everyone to look at the camera. It’s noticing the little moments that already exist between them.

The way Brooks lights up when his dad makes him laugh. The proud little grin that sneaks across his face. The thumb that finds its way into his mouth when he’s getting sleepy. The way Megan and Logan look at him like they still can’t believe he’s theirs.

We wandered through the field, ended the evening by the lake, and let them simply be together.

Twenty years from now, I don’t think they’ll remember exactly where these photos were taken. They’ll remember how this season felt. The beginning of their family, the quiet joy of an ordinary summer evening, and the kind of love that made it worth holding onto.

There is something so special about photographing a family’s first session with their little one.

Everything still feels so new and somehow all at once, this tiny person has become the center of your world.

A warm summer evening wandering through the field, following Parker’s lead and soaking in all the little moments. Her smile never faded, those sweet dimples made an appearance every few minutes and she reminded me that the very best sessions don’t need much. Just a family together, a little room to explore, and the kind of summer night you’ll want to remember years from now. ✨

Some sessions feel less like photographs and more like a glimpse into a family’s rhythm.

An evening spent doing what they do best…being together. Following the kids’ lead and making space for the moments that naturally unfold.

A gentle oldest, a steady middle, a wild-hearted youngest, and parents who clearly adore the life they’ve built. 💛✨

The beauty of maternity sessions isn’t just documenting what’s to come, it’s preserving what is.

The little rhythms of this season, little hands reaching for familiar comforts, and the love that already surrounds the baby they’re waiting to meet.

Before everything changes, there is this. ✨
