I'm a fine art photographer based in Northeast Minneapolis, specializing in bold, atmospheric cityscape photography that captures the magic of urban life β€” especially after the sun goes down. My work celebrates the heart of Minneapolis and beyond, offering everything from small gifts to large-format statement pieces. You can find me most weekends at my studio in the Northrup King Building (Gallery

Aurora – Studio #179), where I showcase my latest work, meet with collectors, and share the stories behind each image. Whether you're decorating a space, gifting something meaningful, or simply love the beauty of city lights, I’m proud to offer art that brings your walls to life.

I almost didn't see this one.

I had a specific shot in mind, a certain view of the bridge and the skyline, and I was set on getting to it. But every path I tried was blocked. One, then another, then a third. By that third dead end, I'll be honest, I was frustrated. I turned around, ready to call it a night.

And there it was.

The Stone Arch Bridge, glowing, its arches meeting their own reflection in the Mississippi to form perfect circles of light, with the new Eleven on the River tower standing tall in the distance. The shot I'd been chasing was lovely in my head. This one stopped me where I stood.

The Stone Arch Bridge might be the most beloved spot in all of Minneapolis. What's your favorite memory there?

I've photographed the Spoonbridge and Cherry more times than I can count. I know this spot. I know the light, the angles, the way the skyline lines up behind it.

So on this night, I rented a new lens, came out to try some new techniques, and figured I knew exactly what I was walking into.

The geese had other plans.

They'd completely taken over; the pond, the grass, the whole scene. I came for the sculpture and the skyline, and ended up sharing the evening with a few dozen very unbothered locals who clearly felt they had the better claim to the spot.

Honestly? They made the shot.

How many times do you think I've actually photographed this cherry? Take a guess.
