Okay, Friends, it's here and it might be the ONLY half-session experience of the year!

GROUNDED SESSIONS are April 26 at 10AM, 11AM, 12PM, and 1PM at the Render Studio in Minneapolis.

The Vibe: calm, serene, unbothered, steady, slow

The Aesthetic: minimal, mattress down on the ground, color palette of white, beige, brown, and black.

I'm recommending wardrobe that falls in line with these ideas: slouchy tees, cozy socks -- simple and back to basics.

I LOOOOOOVE this look and I can't wait to bring it to life for you!

Here are the details:

$195 session fee ($95 early bird special now through end of day Wednesday!)

Half-sized product options including a digital collection of 10 images for $500

Looking in the crystal ball, this is most likely the only half-session opportunity I'll be putting together this year because the business and personal life is BUSY.

2026 has been a lot, so my vision for these half sessions is totally stripped back to basics. The studio will be minimal with just a few furniture pieces. The color palette will be neutral and the atmosphere calm. The bed is on the ground too, bringing you closer to the earth.•

I've been on vacation and I'm home now. And what a world it is that I've come home to. I am full to the top with anger and grief

for the people in my neighborhood who feel they need to stay in their homes

for a woman who was murdered because of the fragile masculinity and god complexes that have been normalized in our culture

for the fact that that's apparently a controversial opinion

for the federal policies that are escalating and for all the god damn puppets in power that refuse to investigate, to slow down, to have any sense of accountability, or to set a single moral boundary

for the seventeen year old kid at Target getting thrown around and kidnapped for existing in the world as a legal citizen with brown skin

for the 75% of ICE detainees who have NO criminal record

for the fact that our country killed a bunch of people and kidnapped another country's president a few days ago and that's not even at the top of my list

for the fact that I'm worried about sending my kids to SCHOOL

for the fact that I'm trying my best to let in the sadness at set times of day so that I can function for the rest of it

for the trivial fact that I'm on here typing this message instead of a cheerful "vacation was great, can't wait to get back to work!"

and for so many other things that I just can't articulate.

I don't do social media much anymore -- I come on here to schedule posts for my business and then I'm usually right back off. I burned myself out years ago on the scroll and on trying to change people's minds, but in times like this, I feel ashamed for not using socials to speak more loudly and more often. I'm a pretty internal person, and I choose instead to put that energy into loving my family and raising my babies to be kind, empathetic, and strong.

I want all of my people to know that I am here with you, feeling what you're feeling and doing my best right beside you. You'll see me posting beautiful, strong women and reminding you to exist in photographs like I always do. But even though that may look like business as usual, please know that I do not accept what's happening around us as normal. It's not.

Aaaah, the year's final MIDNIGHT SUN session. Zephyr now has such an amazing and varied set of bo***ir images - they've done a gothic session, an angel wings session, a full/classic session, and now a midnight sun session. How cool is it to be able to see yourself in so many different ways, and reveal and cherish all of those different sides of yourself?!?
