Family (both birth and chosen) is always on my mind this time of year. One of the things that I love most about photographing weddings is the celebration of ALL types of families.

Congratulations to Chris and Sue, who made it official this fall with their 6(!) boys in a lovely outdoor ceremony at North Oaks Golf Course. Wishing you all many years of love and laughter together.

It's been an incredibly busy last few months, but I couldn't be more grateful for all of the changes in my life– both personal and professional.

In August, I made the decision to freelance full-time and after nearly two years in a long-distance relationship, relocated to Madison, WI. It's been a whirlwind and I'm so behind on sharing my work, but wanted to hop on here to express my thanks and gratitude to many of you on here who have been my biggest supporters from the very beginning. In so many ways, all of my dreams are coming true.

During a quick break between projects, we took some time to explore Wisconsin's Driftless region, spending some much-needed downtime in this sweet little tiny home and enjoying the countryside views.

VERY UNPOPULAR OPINION:
I have moved to a place with no winter and moved back to Minnesota two separate times-- because I like winter.
I can give you a lot of reasons, but most important, is that you just can't enjoy the summers without them.
How much more beautiful is this August wedding in the tiniest church in Portland now that the ground is frozen?
So happy that my friend , has found someone who matches her loveliness both inside and out..
