A pretty special moment in my photography journey!

I’m incredibly excited and honored to share that my photograph, “Breath of the Earth,” was awarded Third Prize in the 2026 American Landscape Photo Contest and has now been published in Outdoor Photographer magazine!

I captured this image high atop Haleakalā in Maui, Hawaii, a place where the landscape can feel almost otherworldly. On this particular day, the clouds, light, and volcanic terrain came together to create a scene that was simply breathtaking. One of those moments when you realize how fortunate you are to be standing there with a camera in your hands.

Photography has taken me to some extraordinary places and given me countless opportunities to experience the beauty of our world. But beyond the destinations, it’s the moments that stay with me….those fleeting intersections of light, atmosphere, and nature that may never happen quite the same way again.

To have one of those moments recognized among the work of other talented photographers, and to now see it featured in the pages of a nationally recognized photography publication, is incredibly rewarding.

I’m grateful to Outdoor Photographer for this honor and to everyone who has followed, encouraged, and supported my photography over the years.

Sometimes the greatest reward is simply being there to witness the moment. Having the opportunity to share it with others makes it even more special.

There’s something magical about driving through New Hampshire’s White Mountains at the peak of autumn.

Looking back at these photographs from our visit a couple years ago, I’m reminded that sometimes the most memorable part of a journey isn’t the destination, but the roads that take you there.

Every turn seemed to reveal another masterpiece. Brilliant oranges, fiery reds, and golden yellows blanketing the mountainsides. Winding roads disappearing into tunnels of color. A touch of mist hanging over the distant peaks, adding a little mystery to an already breathtaking landscape.

It’s the kind of place where you want to slow down, roll down the windows, and soak it all in. Where every curve in the road brings another reason to stop and reach for the camera.

Two years later, I can still remember the magic of those drives.

Sometimes the best way to experience autumn is simply to get lost in it.

Few places capture the spirit of New Orleans quite like Jackson Square and the magnificent St. Louis Cathedral.

From the warm glow of sunset to the quiet elegance of its historic architecture, this corner of the French Quarter seems to tell a different story with every passing hour.

There’s something timeless about this place. The horse-drawn carriages, the ironwork, the towering spires, and the generations of history woven into every brick. It’s a city that doesn’t simply preserve its past…it lives and breathes it.

I spent some time photographing this iconic landmark from different perspectives, each revealing a little more of its character.

New Orleans is a city of music, mystery, resilience, and unmistakable soul. And sometimes, the best way to appreciate it is to slow down, look around, and let the city tell its story.
