Women of the West 2026 📸♥️

I don’t even know where to begin with this one.

This weekend was everything I hoped it would be and somehow so much more. A group of women who love the western lifestyle, who show up fully, who support instead of compete, and who just get it. That kind of space is rare, and getting to witness it firsthand is something I’ll never take lightly.

Every conversation, every laugh, every quiet in-between moment… it all meant something. You each brought your own story, your own perspective, your own kind of magic, and it made this weekend what it was.

It all started with a vision, but you all are what brought it to life.

Thank you for trusting me, for showing up, and for being part of something that filled my cup in the best way. This one was good for my soul.

This morning I shared a little availability update and a few reminders on Instagram this morning - now just sending off my 5th booking of the day🥹 It made me realize I sometimes forget to share this kind of thing over here too, so I wanted to pass it along on Facebook as well.

Just a gentle reminder that I only take on five sessions a month so I can stay on top of turnaround times, editing, and still keep a healthy work life balance. Spring and early summer dates are filling up quickly, so if you’re hoping to get on my calendar for family photos, seniors, couples, or anything in between, now is a great time to reach out.

This is a three day workshop and content weekend is designed for creatives who love storytelling, connection, and intentional imagery. The weekend is hosted on a working cattle ranch, and the majority of our shoots will feature real working cowboys and authentic ranch life, giving you the chance to capture imagery that feels honest, gritty, and full of heart.

On a cool, windy January day, Alyssa and Colby made the three hour drive to me for maternity photos, hauling a trailer full of horses right along with them. That kind of effort always means a lot to me. When someone is willing to travel that far and trust me with something this special, I want to make sure every part of the experience feels worth it.

That morning, David and I drove south of town with our OnX app pulled up, just slowly cruising backroads until something caught my eye. We came over a hill and I spotted this old load out chute and instantly knew it was the place. One quick call to a local cattle producer and we were good to go.

When they arrived, we spent the next hour and a half capturing this season of life they’re in, waiting on their baby to arrive. Alyssa started in a dress and then switched into a denim outfit and I could immediately tell she felt more like herself. We also bonded over our mutual dislike of dresses, which made it even better.

They both absolutely nailed it. Alyssa had told me she just wanted their photos to “feel like us,” and without even knowing them all that well yet, I knew this was exactly what she meant. Easy, honest, and so true to who they are. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love what I do so much ♥️

Six years of OTP🥹🤍

Six years of turning a quiet dream into something I get to live out loud. When I started Open Triangle Photography, I never could have imagined the places it would take me or the people it would bring into my life. What I did know was that I wanted to create something honest. Something that honored the grit and grace of the life I grew up in and the love stories I get to witness now.

This little business has grown right alongside me. From a Cali cowgirl finding her footing in Kansas to a ranch wife, an Extension agent, and a storyteller who still gets teary behind the lens. While it may be me behind the camera, I can tell you that none of it happened alone. To the people who stood beside me through the growing pains, the struggles, and the seasons of doubt, and who celebrated every win like it was their own, thank you. To those who have watched from afar and still showed up for me in the quietest but most meaningful ways. Every like. Every share. Every kind message. Every time you told a friend about my work. Those moments have carried me more than you will ever know.

And today, on the day this little business turns six, Women of the West sold out for the third year in a row. That is something I will never stop being grateful for. To every content weekend and workshop registrant who believed in this vision and showed up with an open heart, thank you for trusting me with your creativity and your time.

To those of you who continue to choose me again and again, I am endlessly humbled by your trust.

Six years in and I still show up most ardently. With my whole heart. For the Western soul with a timeless love. And I cannot wait to see where the next chapters take us 🤍
