Recently B & D announced that they are expecting and truly I found myself thinking that they are going to be the best parents ever. Getting to capture someone’s wedding day is one thing, but getting to watch their life moments from afar, is also such a cool gift.

Every promotion, trip, pregnancy announcement, graduation, business venture, new hobby even… literally everything you all do, is so much fun for me to see.

Typically, when planning to capture your wedding we are in communication, especially as we get close to the date, and sometimes it feels weird when wedding day is over then we don’t chat much at all. But just know I’m each of your biggest fans and even if we’re not yapping all the time, I’m still cheering you on from afar!

Slowly going through some older galleries to test out updated editing on my raw photos.

My 2024 editing is not much different for my 2025, but it’s always fun to see little tweaks implemented in my work over the years. Any downtime I have, you will find me on YouTube diving into tutorials and trying to learn new things about editing. I don’t ever want to stop improving or feel stagnant. Sometimes I feel there are photographers who have been doing this so long, they feel the editing or shooting style that worked in 2012 should still work now… And I just don’t adhere to that belief.

I don’t believe it’s necessarily good to overhaul and change your business Every time there’s a new trend, but making slight tweaks as the industry ebbs and flows, not only can push your creativity but keep you relevant.

this may just be a hot take and that’s OK too – but I’m always team “go re-edit some of your old photos” 🤷🏼‍♀️

Time has never moved more quickly than it has since I’ve been a wedding vendor.

Half of the year is planning, refining, upgrading in any space you can. The other half of the year is executing on all of those dreams. Although I wish time would slow down a tad, I could not be more thankful for the reason it is flying by.

It’s already been a year since my sweet hosted a dinner purely to celebrate ourselves as wedding vendors, and this week we will be celebrating again 🤍

Just as much as I am thankful for my couples, I am also insanely grateful for the vendor friends that I have made. These friendships run deep and so far beyond wedding chatter, it’s truly a blessing how this community comes together.

Cheers to 2025 coming to a close, cheers to the hard work and love we put into our businesses, and cheers to all the memories made.
