Deb Talan is touring with her new album Lucky Girl, coming from surviving "a brutal treatment and surgery" for breast cancer. The audience was packed with long-time fans, delighted by her thirteen new songs along with old favorites. The evening was opened by Carsie Blanton, currently of New Orleans, with a fun-filled set of her songs about loving and living. Singer-songwriting at its best!

Love this band, this venue, this monthly gig!

While Artichoke is generally more on the folky side, Adrian Martin jazzes it up with a much appreciated concert every January. This concert is always a sell-out, although this year a few guests were unable to attend due to our icy snowy roads. This year's jazz sextet was stellar! Thank you so much Adrian for putting together this show for Artichokians. Such a gift! I have included both color and black & white editions of some images, as I can't decide which I like better.

I have a membership to the zoo, and have also done volunteer work as an Oregon Zoo Guide. The Oregon Zoo is committed to conservation of animals and the environment of our Earth. The best time for photos is right when their gate opens.

Pets have always been an important part of my life, both at work and home. Currently I share my home with Bramble, Thorn, Cactus, and Chrysalis. In addition I have backyard hens and a betta fish. These are a few of my family photos.
