I’m CJ, a commercial and editorial photographer and retoucher located in Milwaukee, WI, but serving clients all over the country. In a past life, I spent nearly 20 years as an art director in the advertising and marketing world - shaping how I view photography, its purpose, and working with a team to meet specific goals. I enjoy working with clients that are willing to push their visuals to the ne

xt level and are open to experimenting together. I like to work with all kinds of light and creative processes to constantly push my photography. I love moody lighting that isn’t overdone - every highlight and shadow is very intentional and I tend to pay attention to all the details that most don’t.

Wrapped up a fun one a few weeks ago for the launch of Focus Fuel at Target! We shot a mix of product and lifestyle in the studio and environment. Along with the daytime programming for the NIVA Conference, it also involved evenings full of live events at some of the member venues. I unexpectedly ran into old friends Peter and Brian playing the opening night showcase! I also got to see a new current favorite, Josiah and The Bonnevilles the last night of the conference as well, amongst others.

While we all know these things happen in sports, this one is definitely tough. Obviously a big loss for the Bucks, but an even bigger loss for the city of Milwaukee. I think we all feel like Giannis has been like a family member and we’ve all grown alongside him. Throwback to 2021 when I had the opportunity to photograph him for a big media campaign. Super great guy, all around fun family man, and genuinely nice. We’ll all miss you Giannis Antetokounmpo !

Sharing some new studio and lifestyle product images shot for Royal Lee Organics! Royal Ancient Oats Flour is a new gluten free option for baking made from oats grown on the Standard Process farm. They needed some images showcasing the product in its raw AND final form, along with some bright and airy lifestyle images in the kitchen. I was lucky enough to be able to shoot this one in my own home!

I’m honored that I was asked to share some photo prints at this month’s in Downtown Milwaukee! Joe and Grace at asked me to share some of my personal favorites that will be on display and for sale starting next weekend, April 17th! I’ll be sharing some wall space with talented painters and as well.
