Today I received, quite possibly, the best compliment of my entire career as a photographer. Better than I could have ever hoped for. It made me cry a little! If my last session before closing down was my last one ever, I'd feel like I accomplished my goals. But this is the kind of thing that makes me want to keep doing portraits. So I will be opening up in Milwaukee this next year!

I had the honor of photographing my niece’s wedding in Kauai this last month. We did an impromptu engagement session upon their arrival, since an earlier Arizona engagement session was cancelled due to 117 degree heat the day I was there. Nobody wants to be photographed while they’re melting. This was much more enjoyable, even though we did get rained on. Rainbows make up for that though. A daily occurence in Kauai, it seems! Here are a few of my favorites from their session.
