May See Yang

May See Yang Wisconsin-based Photographer May See Yang was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She is currently 34 years old and living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2010 to 2015, studying Cultural Anthropology. However, she left and pursued her growing interest in photography. Since 2016, she self-started her photography business working with friends, family, and local creatives. She specializes in portrait, lifestyle, events and weddings. Her style can be versatile, light, moody, candid and documentary.

Since 2020, she decided to have a more intentional focus on photographing underrepresented communities and cultural events. She is currently a Communications Coordinator at the Hmong American Women's Association.​

Dear friends, family and supporters!

These last few weeks I have been taking the time to really reflect on my health and capacity. I have to admit that I am a workaholic with my full-time job and photography. I have really enjoyed being a workaholic but it has taken a toll on my mental health and lifestyle. I want to able to sustain my careers for a long time because it means a lot to me to continue giving and positively impacting our community.

With that being said, I have decided to take a break starting September 2026 until March 2027. I apologize in advance if this has created an inconvenience for those who wanted to book a session later this year. There are many wonderful photographers in Wisconsin that I can refer you to, or you can book with me for 2027.

Before closing out in the name of rest, I would like to host a Summer Mini-Session from Monday, August 31 to Wednesday, September 2. The time slots and details are below.

Another important reason why you should book with me, besides the GREAT DEAL, the proceeds will be donated to two Hmong nonprofit organizations who support families and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault: Hmong American Women's Association, Inc. and Tsev Kaj Siab. It would mean so much to me that through booking with me, that we can help support them too.
