Reminisce Photography

Reminisce Photography Artistic. Authentic. And really Fun. We specialize in wedding photography, family portraits, maternity, newborn, and senior pictures.

Reminisce’s story started like many love stories: we both love creating, and it grew from there. We’re bound by a passion for activism, humanitarianism, and capturing photos for people during the best moments of their lives. Since then, our little photography family has grown! We’re proud to call several talented photographers part of our Reminisce family, as well as part of our sister-brand Noun

Photography, which specializes in commercial work. Our team-based approach means that no matter the celebration we are capturing, we’re in it together. We believe that your happiness with your photos starts from the first time we speak with you through the delivery of your images. People matter to us, and we’d love to partner with you to photograph the people that matter to you. What Makes Us Different:

13 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
The clients who hire us want to know that they are getting phenomenal photographers and fantastic humans. As Reminisce has grown, we’ve added to our team, and we vet our photographers very carefully before they are considered for a position at Reminisce. They must have stellar photographic skills, an unwavering commitment to the client experience, and a great sense of humor. Many of our clients have been with us long-term; we’re “their photographer” and we are really proud of that. WE’RE ALLIES
Working with any professional photographer from Reminisce will be a welcoming experience. When you view the work in our galleries, we hope you see how much we respect and honor that people are different and how we believe those differences are a delightful thing. We celebrate Milwaukee’s beautiful diversity, and we are always respectful of your pronouns. We also respect that families come in all different shapes and sizes. Love is Love, and we are honored to photograph you. CREATIVE & CANDID
Anyone with a camera can take a photo; it takes true imagination to capture a moment. Our team is more than staff photographers; they are artisans driven to create excellence for their clients. Each team member works closely with their client and weaves in their experience with lighting, posing, and capturing candid moments to create photos that tell a story. Our goal is to capture those fleeting moments- the ones that bring back instant memories of a laugh, a look, a feeling. OUR EXPANSIVE PORTFOLIO
Your images should make your heart happy, whether that’s wedding photos, senior pictures, maternity photos, newborn pictures, or family portraits. Our portfolio is varied and storied because our photos are inspired by our clients. Your photos should reflect your personality, story, relationship, and family. We love the posed moment, the captured moment, the found moment, or the moment that we didn’t know would be a moment-moment. We work closely with our clients to understand their vision for their photos and then build upon the experience to create personalized images.

Beatles-inspired crosswalk photos, red city lights, and a sunset reflecting off the river ✨

Mary’s senior session gave us a lot to play with creatively. She wanted a few photos inspired by The Beatles crossing the street, so we worked that into the downtown portion of her session, then brought in some colored lighting to highlight her favorite color, red.

The waterfront was an especially perfect fit for Mary because she rows along the RiverWalk nearly every day and plans to continue rowing in college. We started near the Art Museum before heading downtown, where we finished the evening with a beautiful sunset bouncing off the river.

Mary also loves running, biking, art, and shopping with friends, and it was such a fun evening creating portraits that felt connected to both her personality and the city she knows so well.

Want senior photos that actually feel like you? We’re always up for getting creative.

Elise’s senior session at Boerner Botanical Gardens came with a little more adventure than we expected 🌿

She loves art, shopping and going for walks, and wanted a warm golden-hour feel for her portraits. The sky wasn’t exactly cooperating that first evening, so we brought a little golden light of our own with our professional lighting.

And then we found out there was a tornado nearby. Definitely our cue to wrap things up quickly!

We met back at the gardens the following week to finish the second half of her session, and this time we were welcomed with plenty of sunshine.

One of our favorite little details from Elise’s session was her love of bees, right down to the bees painted on her nails 🐝 China Lights was already setting up around the gardens for its upcoming show, and when we spotted some bee lanterns, we obviously had to work them into a few portraits.

Two evenings, a tornado detour, sunshine, flowers and some very well-timed bees made for a pretty memorable senior session!

Mason’s senior portraits felt right at home in downtown Milwaukee, with the Milwaukee Art Museum, lakefront and city architecture giving us plenty to work with.

He’s into video games, playing in band, hanging out with friends and spending time outside, so downtown MKE was an especially fitting choice since he loves being around people and the energy of the city.

After graduation, Mason plans to head to college to study business, and we hope he has a great senior year!

Planning senior portraits of your own? We’d love to help you choose a location that fits you and create photos that feel like you. Reach out to get your session on the calendar!

A little pink preview from Eleanor & Garrett’s wedding 💗

The florals, neon, uplighting, feather boas, cocktails and all those warm rosy tones were basically begging for their own post 🤩

Their day at Movida was colorful, playful and packed with personality, from the ceremony and dinner through a very lively dance floor. And this is just the start 💕

Congratulations, Eleanor & Garrett!

Nine years ago, we photographed Leah & Aaron’s wedding, so it was especially sweet to hear from them again and have the chance to photograph their family this time around 💛

We met up with the R Family along Milwaukee’s downtown lakefront, where Xander and Grace had plenty of ideas for keeping us entertained. They showed us some of their favorite spots, demonstrated their best T-Rex sounds, popped bubbles, explored together, and fit in lots of playing and laughing with Mom and Dad along the way.

One of our favorite parts of doing this for so long is getting to see families again as life changes and grows. Getting to photograph a wedding and then reconnect years later for family portraits is just so special.

If it’s been awhile since your last family photos, we’d love to see you again! Reach out to get your next session on the calendar.

A couple of years after their last family photos, it was so nice seeing Kurt, Heather and Hudson again, and getting to meet little Juniper this time around 💛

Hudson is such a wonderful big brother to Junie, and these two definitely know how to bring out each other’s smiles. We loved capturing all four of them together, along with plenty of sweet sibling moments in between.

Grant Park’s beach gave us so much variety for their portraits, from the open field and bridge to summer flowers, sand and plenty of sunshine ☀️

If it’s been a bit since your last family photos, consider this your reminder that a lot can change in that time. We’d love to help you capture what your family looks like right now 😊

Kunniga and Elliot had the kind of summer day you hope for when planning an elopement at Lakeshore State Park ☀️ Blue skies, sunshine and some seriously great sunglasses that added an extra stylish pop to their photos.

Their ceremony was officiated by Schwa Officiates 💍 and witnessed by a few close friends, keeping things intimate and centered on the two of them.

Afterward, we wandered around Lakeshore State Park for portraits, making the most of everything packed into this iconic stretch of Milwaukee: summer prairie, downtown architecture, Lake Michigan and, of course, the picturesque pedestrian bridge. Such a good mix of nature and city for an elopement right in the heart of Milwaukee.

Planning a Milwaukee elopement or micro wedding? We’d love to photograph it 💛

Maddy herself made the gingham top she wore for her senior pictures, which might tell you everything you need to know about how creative and talented she is ✨ It was great matching those vibes with her senior pictures!

We’ve photographed Maddy’s siblings for their senior pictures over the years, along with family portraits for this sweet bunch, so it was especially fun seeing her and her mom again and catching up while we made our way through the trails and down to the beach at Grant Park and Seven Bridges.

Our evening started out pretty overcast, so I brought in some pro lighting to create a little golden-hour warmth of our own. And then we lucked out with a beautiful pink and purple sunset 💜 As it got darker, we switched things up again for some moodier, more dramatic beach portraits with nighttime vibes.

Maddy is starting her senior year at Greendale High School and plans to attend UW-La Crosse, studying elementary and middle education along with special education. So excited for everything ahead for her! She also loves to paint, sew, embroider, go thrifting, and repurpose clothing 🧵

We love getting to know our seniors a little before their session even starts, which is why everyone gets a questionnaire about their interests, personality, favorite places and what they want from their photos. It gives us a better sense of who they are before we ever pick up the camera, so their senior pictures can actually feel like them 📷
