Earlier this week, Mazomanie Fire Department and Dane County District One EMS had a joint training. Extrication techniques were taught for both sides. Fire fighters and EMS personal had multiple scenarios to ensure a trapped patient was taken out of the automobile in a quick and safe manor.
Trainings like this sharpen their skills to ensure citizen safety when real life events happen.

Both departments are always looking for individuals who want to serve their community.

Once a year, Firefighters and EMS personnel meet in Wisconsin Rapids at the Wisconsin Fire & EMS Memorial to honor the fallen heroes that gave their lives protecting all of us. They left for their shift not knowing what to expect. Their family and friends had no idea they wouldn't return from that call. Unfortunately, paying the ultimate sacrifice is part of our job, but our strength and putting others above ourselves outweigh any fear of the unknown. We honor their sacrifice and remember the hero that they are. Thank you to all the family and friends who supported and loved each one of the men and women we honored. Without the strong support system, none of us would be as strong as we are.

Wisconsin Fire and EMS Lobby day at the State Capitol 2023. This was a day that over 150 freighters and EMS personnel met with lawmakers to talk about issues that are hurting the emergency services. This was an opportunity to talk about budget concerns hurting the industry and bringing light to the ever declining numbers of emergency responders and the impact it is having on all communities across the state.

I can’t say enough want a great organization this is.

The Milwaukee Honor Guard Clinic and Schools is full for yet another year well in advance of clinic. This has now happened consistently with each year filling up earlier and earlier. We can't thank all of you enough for your continued trust in our clinic, schools and staff. Because of your continued trust and commitment, we are able to bring elite level training with additional and new material each year to meet all levels of your honor guard journeys. Thank you isn't enough to say how much we appreciate each and every one of you.

Had the amazing opportunity to travel to Washington DC with a group to place a wreath at the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier Arlington National Cemetery thanks to the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin.

Pictures from Chris Augustin's funeral in Evansville, WI. Chris lost his battle with PTSD. You may be gone but not forgotten. We have it from here brother.

If you aren’t feeling your strongest or are dealing with things beyond your knowledge, don’t be afraid, don’t tell yourself you are weak, reach out. Help isn’t a sign of weakness, as I was recently told, reaching out is a sign of strength. We are one family, when you hurt, we all hurt. It truly is a matter of life a death.
