📣LIFE & BUSINESS UPDATE!!📸

Man oh man, I completely abandoned my photography business. I can’t believe 2022 was my last post on here 😳

— Life. got. crazy. —

As most of you know, for the last couple years I have been working in a photo studio full time, while also trying to run my own photography business. With that being said I was already spread pretty thin, but I was making it work… up until health scares, the big C word, and then a surgery.. that saved me, but turned my world upside down. During all my health issues, I abruptly stepped away from photography. I didn’t post that I was taking a break and I didn’t share what was going on because at the time, it was too personal and scary to share so publicly. I literally ghosted my own business. I took over a year and a half away, trying to heal and trying to figure out a way to balance work and live life more. Having such a life altering experience really changes values and perspectives. Stepping away from a business for that long, without saying a word… is usually detrimental to a business, some may even say “career suicide”… so now, coming back to the business that I abandoned, makes me feel like I am starting all over again; back at square one. But this time, with so much more knowledge and skill. Not to mention, a new perspective on life because tomorrow isn’t promised, and one day all you might have are the pictures and memories you captured. 🤍

SO.. with the past behind me.. I am happy to say that I am healthy and EASING back into photography!!! Thank you for everyone that has stuck around for my journey. And apologies for all the missed messages and inquiries while I fell off the face of the earth. I am trying my best to get back on track! It’s taken some courage to get back out there, but slow progress is still progress!! I have been slowly posting on instagram, and introducing some discounted mini sessions. At this time I am only opening certain dates/time slots for October and I’ll go from there. You can book via a direct link.

Wow what a year it has been! I have been so busy that I haven't been able to post or keep up with social media. But I had to share the last wedding of my photography season!!

Saturday I had the honor of capturing the love during Jenny & Phil's wedding; and man what a great way to end my wedding season!! These sneak peeks were just too picture perfect to not share. Cheers to the newlyweds and to another great year of weddings in the books!!!

Not only was February filled with newborn sessions, but I also had the honor of capturing beautiful moms to be!! Nikole rocked her maternity session, she was just GLOWING. You can't even tell that it was -4 outside!! Can't wait to capture your soon to be bundle of joy!

How is it March 1st already?! February normally flies by because of my birthday, but this year I got to share my birthday month with a TON of new clients and February babies! February was all about the newborns. Sharing some adorable images from a recent gallery I sent out. Rebecca & Drew, your little one is so loved, thank you for letting me capture this milestone!

✨New year, new energy!✨

I have been in some serious winter blues lately, but I am shaking it off and getting back into the groove! I was so burned out after the busiest year, and started to realize chasing my passion isn’t as easy as just picking up a camera. It’s about mental health, taking time for myself, taking breaks to recharge, finding a balance and keeping that creative fire lit within my soul.

With that being said, I decided to not do a Valentine’s Day pop up and decided to focus more on planning my year out to give the clients the full attention that they deserve. I will be holding more pop ups throughout the year when I can give it my full time and energy!

I already have started booking into March/April, and I have clients that are over achievers and have started booking into September already! So it’s never too early. Plan the session, book the day, and send that double text… because there’s a chance I could have missed it during the crazy past couple months! Auto responses are not my friend lol.

So cheers to 2022 and all you beautiful clients I get to meet this year! I am beyond grateful for all the love and support on this crazy journey🤍🤍
