Did you know that wedding regret is actually a thing?

And sometimes it has nothing to do with the venue, the dress, the weather, or how much money you spent.

It’s realizing afterward that you let other people have way too much influence over a day that was supposed to be about the two of you.

Inviting people because you felt like you had to.
Doing traditions you didn’t really care about.
Choosing things to avoid upsetting someone.
Planning a wedding that looked right on paper, but didn’t really feel like you.

And I get it. Weddings come with A LOT of opinions.

But whether you’re planning a 150-person wedding, an intimate dinner with your favorite people, or running away somewhere to get married just the two of you — you’re allowed to do it your way.

Keep the traditions that actually mean something to you. Skip the ones that don’t. Or create completely new ones that belong to the family you’re starting together.

Invite 200 people. Invite 20. Invite nobody.
Wear the white dress or don’t.
Have a big party or spend the day hiking somewhere.

There really isn’t one correct way to get married.

So if you’re planning your wedding right now and needed to hear this:

this is your sign to celebrate by your own rules.

Make sure that when you look back at your wedding, it actually feels like yours.

One of the questions I get all the time is - what do we do if it rains?

Well, this time we decided… nothing 😂 We’re doing it anyway.

When we were planning this proposal, we agreed that unless there was a tornado warning, we weren’t changing the plan.

It was a small park where they walk all the time, and the whole point was to make sure she didn’t suspect anything.

And of course, it rained.

Did it ruin anything? Not even a little bit.

She had no idea what was coming, everything went exactly as planned, and honestly, I actually love how the rain looks in these photos.

So yeah. Sometimes the plan for rain is just… rain.

A little reminder that your photo session can actually feel like a date 🖤

Bring a blanket. Pack some snacks. Play cards. Talk, laugh, have some fun!

Because some of my favorite photos are never the “big” moments. They’re the tiny ones in between - the looks, the inside jokes, the little things you probably don’t even notice while they’re happening.

And somehow, those are the memories that end up meaning the most.

A little piece of Europe in the heart of Milwaukee 🤍

Villa Terrace is one of those places that feels timeless. Between the beautiful architecture, manicured gardens, and views of Lake Michigan, it's easy to forget you're still in Milwaukee. It couldn't have been a more perfect setting for Rachel and Dan's engagement session.

It was also such a great opportunity to spend time with them (and their adorable twins!) before the wedding. I always say engagement sessions are about so much more than the photos—they're a chance for us to get to know each other, so when the wedding day arrives, being in front of the camera already feels natural and effortless.

I already can't wait to celebrate with them in 2027!

Sometimes people think my job ends when I put the camera away.

But that’s only half of it.

Every gallery spends hours on my screen before it lands in yours. Every image is hand-picked, edited, and polished while I’m usually sitting at home with a snack and way too many tabs open.

Totally worth it though.
