Floating with all these details. 🦪🩵✨

High Tide Styled Shoot was inspired by the romance of being by the water — soft movement, coastal textures, pearls, shells, and a little bit of nostalgia woven throughout the day.

And these details brought that vision to life so beautifully. The exclusively designed stationery by Cayla the Painter feels like little pieces of art on their own, from the oyster-inspired shapes to the soft watercolor textures. Paired with the beautifully unique, vintage-inspired rings & jewelry crafted by Cival, every layer felt intentional, collected and completely one of a kind.

Proof that the smallest details can carry so much of the story. 🌊

Every love story has its own journey. 🤍

For Susana + Tiago, that journey looked like growing up in Brazil, finding each other, falling in love, and getting married — and then, all of a sudden, receiving a job opportunity that would take them thousands of miles away from everything they knew.

A new country. A new language and culture to navigate. A new version of home to create together.

And somewhere along that journey, their story grew a little bigger. 🥹

Now they’ve prepared to welcome their first baby here in the United States — building a family far away from the place they once called home, while carrying so much of that home with them.

There’s something incredibly special about photographing stories like theirs. Maybe because, as a Brazilian who also built a life far away from home, I understand how many emotions can exist inside a new beginning.

You can miss where you came from while being grateful for where life is taking you. You can leave home and, little by little, create another one.

And sometimes, home becomes less about a place and more about the people you’re building your life with. 🇧🇷🤍

Carolyn & Alex tied the knot last year with a dreamy sailboat ceremony on the Atlantic Coast, but their love deserved another celebration. 🤍

So this May, they brought everyone together in Milwaukee for a day centered around the things that matter most: family, friends, good food, lots of laughter, and a dance floor that stayed busy all night.

No need for anything over the top. Just thoughtful little details, a room full of their favorite people, a sword arch down the aisle, and the sweetest reminder that sometimes, simplicity leaves the most room for joy.

Cultural Legacy - A heritage-inspired styled shoot.

I think I’m finally finding the words for something I’ve always known in my heart.

I didn’t become a photographer simply because I love beautiful photographs.

I became one because I love people!

I love where we come from. The things we carry with us. The colors, food, traditions, imperfections, families, chosen families, tiny inside jokes and pieces of home that somehow find their way into the way we love.

And somewhere along the way, I realized that human connection and culture are the heartbeat of my work.

That was the soul behind Cultural Legacy.

I wanted these photographs to feel alive. Colorful. A little unexpected. Full of personality and warmth. Because our stories were never meant to all look the same.

Maybe that’s what I love most about photographing love:

We get to bring everything that came before us into something completely new.

Our roots.
Our people.
Our stories.
And then… we get to make them our own. 🤎

That is the kind of love I will never get tired of documenting.
