This is an oddity I found at Floridatown Park in Pace Florida after Hurricane Ivan hit in 2004. There was a lot of flooding with the storm, up to 20 ft in some areas of Santa Rosa County. Although this reminds me of an eagle creature trying to escape the Earth, pretty sure it's been covered up for a long time. When hurricane Opal hit Santa Rosa County beaches in 1995, parts of a buried ship or uncovered by the storm between Navarre and Pensacola Beach.

If you don't like the Florida Sunset you're looking at, don't fret! Just wait! In 30 seconds. It'll be different!

If you don't believe me, take a look at these pictures. None of these photos were edited. I didn't do anything to them except use my 'lil ole Samsung A14 cell phone. I have an actual camera at home and home was between where I was and the boat ramp. But there was no way I was going to stop to get my camera. I couldn't waste a second. I would have lost so many pictures. When the sun goes down here you don't stop for anything if you're trying to get to it.

This is Escambia Bay from the boat ramp at Floridatown Park in Pace. There are about 30 photographs of this night. It took less than an hour to shoot.

It started when I was driving over by Avalon Boulevard and Mulat Rd area and I spotted odd-looking smoke filling the sky and drifting. I've lived here 35 years and up til that day, I had never seen smoke like that coming from that direction: South, Southwest. It took me about 10 to 15 minutes to get down to Floridatown and jump out of my car. Just as I got there, the smoke I had seen from Avalon Boulevard arrived over the bay.

I really love this particular photo shoot. The air was cool. The sky was weird. It was a good night for photography.

*** There may be doubles here. A couple of the pictures are so close in composition, it's difficult to tell cuz I'm posting this from my phone. Also, these are not in the order that I arrived. You'll be able to tell what the smoke is first coming into the picture on the left and then it ends up going all the way across. The location of the smoke versus the location of the sun on the horizon easily play a part in the mood of the photograph. There's a couple that you can barely tell it's different and that's because it changed that fast or I might have had a flash on for catching things in the foreground.

This is a collage of photographs I shot. There are probably 100,000 now that I've taken and still have. So I thought the collage is a nice way to preserve photographs and spark memories. Thanks for visiting my page feel free to like and share. I love comments on my photos even if you don't like the picture just tell me about it! I'll find you one you do like!
