Silver lake

It was our first stop on the first photo trip of the year. The reflection was not as crisp and calm as I would have liked it to be but it was calm and peaceful enough.

The Race Track

Racetrack Playa is an amazing dry lakebed formation in Death Valley NP. It is famous for its stone tracks. Every snow and thaw cycle makes the stones move a few centimeters. The downward slope of the playa also helps when the mud below the stones becomes mushy during the thaw. It forms stone tracks and thats why it is named Racetrack Playa. It is also one of the most treacherous roads in DV. 30 miles of washboard and jutting stones takes 2 hours to drive. But the natural phenomenon is worth the arduous drive!

A night at Mt. Shasta!

Life is incredible but it is also unpredictable. Unforeseen life circumstances kept me away from being behind the camera and under The Milky Way - for a year and more. I had a different role to play and everything else took a back seat. But as I said life is incredible too, so it has been kind enough to allow me to be back in the field doing my favorite thing! It was an incredible night. Still, calm and full of stars. Felt alive again, felt myself again. I had realized long ago that Photography is my O2 but this time I realized that it is a partial definition of my existence. It is not just my dream, it is my Purpose.
