Driving home tonight, came across some eagles and snow geese, seems the eagles were harassing the snow geese, and got lucky with a dead goose (probably froze over night) I might go back in the morning and see if can get some more shots of the eagles feeding on the dead geese, there were 2 or 3 carcasses...

The Deer Rutt is on! It been about a year since ive been to Palmyra Cove to photograph the deer, and it did not disappoint. There have been some changes, new construction borders the property, and gazebos have popped up on the trails, the spoils field is filled and nature is starting to reclaim that. There were tons of deer about and more Bucks then I have seen in at least 3 or 4 years. I only had an hour before sunset set and the park closing, I saw at least 5-6 mature 6 point or more Bucks, and many young buck. Had one very curious 4 point buck who was shading a Big 8 point Buck who was in hot pursuit of a Doe in estrus! The young buck was following close but also seemed to take an intent in me and got very close, I was able to get a few extreme close ups... Looking forward to a sunrise visit next weekend!

A quick visit to the, small and quaint, Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar in Wilmington DE. I didn't have much time but the weather and light were perfect for some photos

I haven't had the time to visit Elk county in the last two years, while a month still till the Rut, I deiced to make an early trip in hopes of spotting some bull elk shedding their velvet. But it had been a hot and dry summer there and few elk were venturing out of the shade of the hemlocks. I did get luck with this Big Bull Elk, he has fully rubbed off his velvet and left the bachelor herd to bulk up ahead of the Rut, he will surely be a Dominant Bull with a large haram to defend! Hope to see hime again in September or October! While there were not many elk to see, there was plenty of other wild life.

This has been a harder photo to get than I anticipated. Work schedule & weather got in the way of the different shots I had planned. But last night I got a decent image as the Comet 2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas gets dimmer as it moves away from earth on its 80000 year journey through the galaxy.
This is a composite image. Tge comet was shot on a star tracker at 100mm, f/2.8, 90 sec exposure. The forground is a 30mm, f/4, 2 minute exposure.

First time seeing the Northern Lights, it was just barely visible naked eye, but the camera really brings out the colors.
