Editorial Thinking in a Scroll-First World
Looking forward to this conversation

Join us Saturday, April 25 at 10 AM at the
showroom for the RAD Fireside Chat Series.

We’ll be discussing how designers can create imagery that feels editorial while still working across social media, e-commerce, and press.

Confident rooms rarely play it safe.

Chartreuse walls, expressive artwork, and collected pieces give this living room its presence. Shaping the light reveals the color, texture, and layers that bring the space fully to life in a photograph.

Spring forward. Step into the frame.

One way I differentiate my work as a photographer is by capturing editorial-worthy brand imagery—portraits that reflect a designer’s point of view and what makes their brand distinct.

As Keith Granet often reminds designers, the most successful firms clearly define what makes them different and consistently show up with that message.

, Christina’s editorial portrait is a beautiful example of that.

Homes don’t need to be perfect to be beautiful.

They need to feel lived in.
Light falling where it wants. Pieces collected over time.
A sense that life is happening just beyond the frame.

This is what intentional living looks like to me.

Light moves gently through this space — filtered first through soft fabric, then settling across patterned walls, subtle cameos, and veined stone below.

The drapery diffuses the glow, allowing it to cascade quietly across the wallpaper, soften the marble, and highlight the collected details that give the room its rhythm. Even the geranium feels guided by the light — a living note within a composed, layered whole.

It’s not one element that carries the room, but how each detail responds to the light and to one another.

A powder room dressed like a bespoke suit. The wallpaper delivers those tailored menswear lines—quiet and structured, like a perfectly cut blazer. Black Tempal by Caesarstone grounds the vanity with richness and shadow.

The portrait of Gisele Bündchen adds the femme energy that completes the mood.

Because the space is intimate, the atmosphere had to be built with light. Every decision was intentional: how the light grazes the wallcovering, what the mirror reflects, and where the composition holds the geometry.

Strategic, directional, cinematic—small room, big attitude.
Ralph Lauren sophistication with a seductive edge.

There’s a nostalgia to this season that always finds me. The ritual of gathering, the pause before the holidays, the meaning tucked into the smallest details. It has me reflecting on how meaningful it is to partner with designers who pour heart, craft, and heritage into their work.

I’m grateful for every home I’ve stepped into, every story I’ve helped bring forward, and every person who has trusted me to capture the beauty they’ve created. Feeling deeply thankful for this season, for the people who inspire me, and for every quiet, full moment that reminds me why this work matters! 🤎

A visual memoir brought to life. Sarah Lyon’s Collected Home featured on The Today Show blends moody hues, portrait art, and storied antiques.

I photographed this space with an editorial focus on layered textures, rich shadows and soft light - truly showcasing a collected living narrative.
