Tonight I spent the evening with these lovely ladies on zoom. Heidi, Kim, and I worked on our Photoshop skills supporting and learning from each other.

This is what I mean my community. This is what supporting each other looks like. Taking info from our The Mid-Atlantic Regional School of Professional Photography (MARS) class and continuing to grow and learn. This is what Professional Photographers of America is about.

There’s something different about an athlete when the game lives in their soul.

You can see it in the eyes. In the grit. In the dirt flying off the glove. In the intensity that says, “I belong here.”

And honestly… I don’t understand why more families in New England aren’t doing sportrait sessions for their athletes.

Because THIS?

This is more than a photo.
It’s the late nights at the field.
The freezing spring practices.
The bruises, the pressure, the confidence, the growth.
The years that somehow go by way too fast.
These images celebrate a life in sports — not just the wins, but the passion behind them.

One day the uniforms won’t fit anymore. The fields will go quiet. But these moments? These become part of your family history.
And that’s why I create sportraits.

red lights. sharp shadows. zero soft energy. 🔥

These portraits were all about creating mood with light instead of relying on complicated sets. A single beam across the eyes, deep contrast, smoke, and color completely changed the feeling of each frame.

What I love most about sessions like this is how cinematic they become. Every image feels like a different scene from the same story — bold, intense, confident, and unapologetically dramatic.

Studio work doesn’t have to feel stiff or traditional. It can feel like album art, a movie poster, or the cover of something important.
