There’s something really special about having families come back to me year after year. ❤️

I recently had the chance to photograph this beautiful girl again, this time for her senior portraits at the beach!

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to watch these kids grow up. When a family comes back and trusts me to capture another milestone in their lives, it really does mean so much to me.

Photography is about so much more than just taking pretty pictures. It’s about building relationships, getting to know families, and being invited back to document the moments that matter.

And can we talk about how gorgeous this beach session was? The soft skies, the ocean, and that beautiful smile! We had such a great time creating these images.

One thing I love about a studio session is that it doesn’t have to be just one thing.
This family came in for family portraits, but while they were here, we also took a little extra time to create some updated headshots. No second appointment. No completely separate session. We were already in the studio, already camera-ready—so why not?

Whether it’s headshots for work, school, auditions, sports, or just because you need a great photo of yourself, we can often add them right into your session.

When you drive an hour away for a senior photoshoot

When the walk up the “5 minute hike” is so bad you have to have the parents haul the gear

When the rain lasts all day and makes everything muddy

When it gets so dark that you need to turn the modeling lights on your gear just to find your way down

It all becomes worth it to create a magical senior session in a castle for a princess

This. This is why I want you to get the album.

We take SO many photos now. They’re on our phones, on socials, sitting on a hard drive somewhere…and then we rarely look at them again.

But an album? You pick it up. You flip through it. You leave it on the coffee table. And someday, when your senior is grown and has kids of their own, THIS is what they’ll have to look back on.

Senior year is such a weird time as a parent. You’re so excited for everything that’s ahead of them, while at the same time wondering how the heck those 18 years went by so fast.

That’s why I don’t want to just give you pretty digital pictures.

I want you to have something.

Something you can hold.

Something you can look through 20 years from now.

Something your kids might someday show their kids.

Print the photos. Get the album. Put the pictures on your walls.
Because I promise you…the hard drive isn’t going to mean nearly as much someday. ❤️

Happy Independence Day to the US of A

Over the last decade, it feels like we've lost some of what has always made America so special. Too much anger has replaced understanding, and too much hatred has taken the place of respect. We need to remember why we are here as a country and what we were founded on...not ONE belief system but everyone's...not ONE way to love and worship, but everyone's.

My hope is that we can begin to turn the tide—that the anger, hostility, and behaviors flowing from our nation's capital no longer set the tone for the rest of the country. Instead, may we choose civility over contempt, conversation over conflict, and a renewed commitment to the values of freedom, respect, and unity that inspired America's founding.

We don't have to agree on everything to remember that we're all Americans. I still believe our best days are ahead if we're willing to find our way back to one another.
