This. This is why I want you to get the album.

We take SO many photos now. They’re on our phones, on socials, sitting on a hard drive somewhere…and then we rarely look at them again.

But an album? You pick it up. You flip through it. You leave it on the coffee table. And someday, when your senior is grown and has kids of their own, THIS is what they’ll have to look back on.

Senior year is such a weird time as a parent. You’re so excited for everything that’s ahead of them, while at the same time wondering how the heck those 18 years went by so fast.

That’s why I don’t want to just give you pretty digital pictures.

I want you to have something.

Something you can hold.

Something you can look through 20 years from now.

Something your kids might someday show their kids.

Print the photos. Get the album. Put the pictures on your walls.
Because I promise you…the hard drive isn’t going to mean nearly as much someday. ❤️

Happy Independence Day to the US of A

Over the last decade, it feels like we've lost some of what has always made America so special. Too much anger has replaced understanding, and too much hatred has taken the place of respect. We need to remember why we are here as a country and what we were founded on...not ONE belief system but everyone's...not ONE way to love and worship, but everyone's.

My hope is that we can begin to turn the tide—that the anger, hostility, and behaviors flowing from our nation's capital no longer set the tone for the rest of the country. Instead, may we choose civility over contempt, conversation over conflict, and a renewed commitment to the values of freedom, respect, and unity that inspired America's founding.

We don't have to agree on everything to remember that we're all Americans. I still believe our best days are ahead if we're willing to find our way back to one another.

ATTENTION SAVANNAH GEORGIA...I'M COMING HOME!!!!!

Shoutout to my hometown friends. I will be back home for a visit Aug 16 - 25. You know I'm bringing my gear with me and I would love to see my photography friends as well.

I will be hitting the wildlife, the beach, and probably doing some more long exposure on a trip to Driftwood. If we are really nice to Kaya, she may model. 🤔🤔🤔
