I love Spring in California. Did you know California is home to more than 6,000 flowering plants, including around 2,000 types of wildflowers? I especially love the type of wildflower that can be spotted at the top of this first pic. Anyone know what it’s called (swipe to see a close-up of it)?

If you could have your dream proposal, where would it be?

One of my favorite things to do as a photographer is document special events, especially proposals! I feel so privileged when my clients ask me to capture a moment that’s so intimate and special to them.

I created this cliché verre (a negative painting/etching on glass, printed on light sensitive paper in a photographic darkroom) for the incredibly talented ‘s workshop at the International Center of Photography back in 2018.

It feels like the world is burning. From the wildfires in Australia to the destruction COVID-19 has created, life is like this beautiful, burning rose. Beautiful things have happened - more people are creating art, dancing, singing and practicing self care. Air pollution has dropped dramatically, wildlife is recovering. But with the beautiful comes the burning, heartbreaking news of the death tolls, unemployment, and domestic abuse cases.

I took this set of photos just before the quarantine, and decided I would turn them into shirts and prints that I could then sell on my website to give back. The proceeds from the burning flower series will go to Heart to Heart International (.to.heart.international) and the Australian WIRES Wildlife Rescue (). You can find more information in the product descriptions on my website.
