A reminder that the CoastSavers beach cleanup is coming in April, it's a fun way to celebrate Earth Day. It's usually near 4/20, but I'll narrow it down for interested folks a little later. I've done a few, Joe Perrault came out and did one and had a good time!
You choose a beach on their website, there are several up and down the Olympic Pinnensula. You can go out on friday, camp for free in any number of State park campgrounds right on the coast, and in the morning we meet up, get our trash bags (be sure and bring gloves, a hat, gear for rain, good shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, maybe a reacher/grabber, and of course for hydration we suggest a REUSABLE water bottle).
Theres a thank you BBQ after at select beach locations. And theres the satisfaction of coming together as a family, or as a community, to keep our childhood beach legacy as clean as we remember it.
