Hi, I'm Kate! I love capturing the extraordinary beauty in ordinary moments. I specialize in motherhood and family photography.

My name is Kate and I'm a former school teacher in the greater Bangor area. Although I love working with children, I also love taking photos! My passion started with landscape and wildlife photography, but as I grew older and saw more of the world, I realized how people are at the heart of what matters in life. I adore using natural light to capture moments you can cherish for years to come. From weddings to maternity, newborn to senior portraits, lifestyle shoots, events, and pet sessions, I am available for your photography needs. Sam & Sydney couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful fall day in Maine. Even the leaves seemed to dress in their best colors for the occasion. 🍂

With breathtaking foliage, laughter shared among lifelong friends, and a timeless love at the heart of it all, their wedding was such a joy to capture.

When we give a session room to unfold through wonder and joy, we discover the extraordinary beauty hidden within ordinary moments. That is always my greatest goal!

Of course, I want you to have the beautiful “Christmas card” portrait—the one you’ll proudly send to loved ones and hang on your wall. But the laughter, the excitement of chasing frogs, wrestling with Dad, and the quiet moments when everyone settles in close after exploring and playing are just as timeless.

Every one of those moments tells a piece of your family’s story.

As a mother, I know this is the story of your children’s childhood. Someday, when our little ones are grown and our time belongs to us again, I’m certain these are the days we’ll remember—and wish, if only for a moment, we could experience once more.

My stunning friend and her family had all of these elements in their session, and it was my own honour to capture these for their families storybook.

Truly this wedding had me ugly crying and laughing more than any other. Everything about Ariana & Bradley's day was classy, timeless and well thought out. Their love for one another and God shone through every part of the day, and it was an honour to take their pictures!

I don’t share every session I photograph. Respecting each family’s privacy will always be more important than filling my social media feed.

But here’s a little snippet of fun from a recent extended-family session of one of my other dear friends—bare feet, laughter, races through the field, and the kind of golden evening childhood memories are made of.

The posed portraits matter, but these in-between moments tell the story.

The sweetest little sister has entered a world already overflowing with love.

Getting to photograph one of my best friends as she welcomes her beautiful baby girl is something I’ll treasure forever. She is truly one of the most beautiful humans I know, inside and out.

With three proud big brothers ready to make her laugh, protect her, and show her the ropes—and a daddy already completely wrapped around her tiny finger—this little girl is surrounded by the very best kind of love.

She is so lucky to be yours, and I’m so lucky to love you both. These are the beautiful beginnings of a brand-new family chapter, and I can’t wait to watch it unfold.
