There’s something so special about getting to photograph your best friend’s daughter as she steps into such a beautiful new chapter of her life.

This session felt like I was stepping right into movie The Notebook. It was such dreamy, nostalgic kind of love session that feels timeless. The soft, romantic moments, the quiet in-between moments, and the feeling of love from beginning to end.

I walked away from this session feeling so excited for everything that lies ahead of them. What an honor it is to capture these moments and give her a little piece of this season to look back on forever and always. I can't wait for the wedding!

Another glorious wedding day at Creek Side Station!

Congratulations, Courtney and Kevin! Your wedding was absolutely spectacular, and it was such a privilege to be there to witness it all.

From the moment I arrived, it was so clear just how much love you have for one another, but also how deeply loved you both are by your families. There was so much gratitude, joy, and genuine thankfulness surrounding the two of you and the fact that you found each other. I loved watching the way you look at each other, laugh together, and soak in every moment made it so easy to see the beautiful life you are building together.

Courtney and Kevin, I hope you never stop choosing each other. Keep laughing, keep making time for one another, and keep enjoying this life side by side. Your wedding day was just the beginning of something really beautiful.

Congratulations to you both! I am so grateful I got to be a small part of such a meaningful day.

I don’t normally share much personal information on my business page, but sometimes the lines between personal and business cross in ways that are impossible to separate. This is one of those times.

About 18 months ago, I stood behind my camera and photographed one of my very good friends and her family. Her husband, Nick, had just received a cancer diagnosis. I was taking photographs for a family going through something incredibly hard and realizing those would be the moments they will remember forever.

Nick fought for as long as he could. He fought for his wife. He fought for his four children. He fought for more time with the people he loved most. Sadly, last weekend, Nick went to see our Lord. He left behind a beautiful mom and four very young children who now have to learn how to navigate a life they never imagined without him.

Anyways, Miles Together is a community that walks alongside young families navigating a cancer diagnosis. This year marks the second Field Day to support the Henry family. Unfortunately, Nick didn’t get the chance to be there but we are continuing on for his legacy as well as to support his family. This is our opportunity to celebrate life.

**I’ll be at Field Day at Elmer Smith Park in Carlton, NY, from 1:30–3:30 PM offering $75 mini sessions, and 100% of the profits will go directly to the Henry family.**

LONG POST: sorry but also not sorry. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this session. ❤️

Long before I ever photographed Olivia’s senior portraits, I knew this girl. When Olivia was a toddler, I had her in my daycare classroom. She was this little girl who knew exactly what she wanted, yet was also incredibly loving, joyful, and full of happiness. I have so many memories of those days. I would leaving daycare and heading over to babysit her and spending time with her parents into the early hours of the morning.

Those were some of the best days.

And now, somehow, here we are… 15 years later!!!

As I sit here writing this, I can’t help but feel incredibly honored that I’ve had the privilege of watching Olivia grow from that sweet little girl into the beautiful young woman she is today. And getting to photograph her senior portraits and send her off into her senior year with photographs that capture this season of her life! That means more to me than I can put into words.

And of course… I have to mention the editing. 😂 I don’t normally share a ton of matte/filmy looks, but this is what Olivia wanted, so yes, I happily stepped outside my usual style for this one.

Olivia, it has been such a gift watching you grow. I’m so incredibly proud of you and cannot wait to see where life takes you next. ❤️

Here’s to your senior year, sweet girl. Soak it all in. You’re going to do amazing things.

Whenever a beautiful mama messages me wanting to schedule session away from her home state on the West Coast and make time for photos somewhere completely different, she takes advantage of it, and I absolutely love that.
When we first started planning their session, we talked about so many different locations. There were so many possibilities, but then they told me they live in the desert and wanted something they simply don’t get to see at home; Lush greens and trees.
I immediately knew where I wanted to take them.
So, we headed to a local waterfall and started our little adventure down the trail. There was something so fun about watching them take in the landscape around them. The deeper we hiked, the greener it became, and eventually we reached the waterfall. Then the session just unfolded. Exploring, throwing rocks, climbing rocks and the list goes on. This is one of my favorite things about photographing families...sometimes the best photographs happen when you stop worrying about the photographs and simply let the adventure happen.
