WARNING: This baby will give you baby fever!!!! I mean, I have 5 kids and he sort of made me want another (just in hopes they would turn out like him). I adored meeting this handsome little man yesterday. His session was ridiculously fun & his parents are the sweetest most adorable, in love couple you have ever met. I sort of hated when their session ended and they had to leave. For real though, have you ever seen a cuter baby!?!

SOFT PROOFING is my new BFF. It took me a while to master a new form of proofing but it has completely changed my workflow. Your galleries are no longer fully edited when you view them the first time. Final retouching doesn't occur until your order is placed. Why is this important? Well with soft proofing clients can now get the best of both worlds. You are getting your galleries to drool over MUCH faster and the prints you hang on your walls are still fully retouched. In a spirit of transparency, here is an example of some soft proofed images from a recent session. See you aren't missing out on anything, other than a longer wait!!!

Uploading galleries is one of my favorite things to do. I don't know if I am feeling sentimental this year or what but I am having the hardest time narrowing galleries down. I want to keep every sweet expression and goofy grin. Almost every gallery has around 100 pictures, eek! So if you could choose...Do you want to see all the expressions OR Do u find yourself overwhelmed when you have too many options to choose from?

When your session has already been re-scheduled multiple times due to weather AND then it SNOWS ...you just go with it. So glad this family embraced the snow and we got some great images. Hello Christmas card pictures :) This may have been the quickest session I have ever done because we were all freezing, but it was also soooo much fun. Snow pictures are some of my favorites and I never get to do them in October!

God knits together families in amazing ways. I am so thankful to watch this family's story unfold. Their adoption took time but the love arrived instantly! I am just so thankful for each of these sweet people.

Hard to believe it was in the 70s and sunny last week this time...and today it is SNOWING!!! This time of year the weather can change so rapidly. I am editing my tail off to get galleries uploaded because the holidays feel like they are just around the corner. This gorgeous crew got uploaded today. I just adore this family and all 91 of their images (eeek, good luck picking ;) ). They could not be any sweeter or more genuine. We always have a blast when we are together.

I love a good posed shot. BUT there is nothing better in my opinion than the pure joy of children laughing & playing. Those are the shots that make me smile! (It is always a special privilege to be chosen to photograph another photographer's family. This one was no exception!)

The weather this fall has seriously stunk. I am about done with the wind!! But luckily we had a little break in the wind and had a beautiful day yesterday and knocked out a number of sessions. This picture seriously make me incredibly happy for so many reasons. #1 - momma did not plan on being in any pictures but showed up looking this beautiful so we snuck one in while little bubba was warming up to the idea of having his pictures taken. Immediately after the shot I said "this needs to go on your wall!" And #2 - This little guy is healthy and doing so well after having a transplant earlier this year. I look at him and that ornery grin and can't believe all he & his family have been through. God is good and I am so thankful for he & his daddy are on the road to healing. I just love kid and all the people in his family.
