Another sister in the family. 🤍

Nicole and Jeff have been together for eight years (Jeff is my brother-in-law). For all eight of those years I've been crossing my fingers, because Nicole has been my sister at heart for a long time, but I'm ready to make it legal. 👀😘

We celebrated with a cozy engagement session at the studio. Thankfully, despite all of us being completely blinded by the ring the entire time, we still managed to make some beautiful photos. 😉

I love you both dearly. NOW LET'S PLAN A WEDDING! 🥂

My biggest passion when it comes to the lens is putting the people I love in front of it.

This is my Hungarian cousin, Gyurka. My dad is 100% Hungarian, and his parents immigrated to the United States, so I've always grown up closely connected to my Hungarian roots. I was younger than my daughter Molly the first time I traveled to Hungary, and over the years we've been lucky enough to visit each other back and forth across the ocean.

Earlier this summer, Gyurka and his wonderful partner, Zsuzsa, came to Michigan to visit. I couldn't wait to show them the studio I've worked so hard to build, and of course, I insisted they humor me with a portrait session.

That's really what it's all about guys. The preservable memory. Something you can look at and hold on to when your loved ones are an ocean away.

You'll never regret taking the photos. 🤍

The art of the bridal portrait. ✨

I can't lie... if a bride asked my opinion before her wedding, I'd probably tell her not to wear glasses.

Then there was Ericka.

Somehow she had perfectly non-reflective lenses, and frames that looked more like jewelry than eyewear. They suited her perfectly.

So brides... even if I make a recommendation, you know who *you* are. My job isn't to make you look like everyone else. It's to photograph the version of you that feels the most authentic.

Sometimes I'm happily proven wrong. 🤍

Clients and friends- if you’ve been trying to reach me I’ve been occupied at the emergency vet with our two year old lab Betty. We had a very traumatic experience with her this morning and we thought we lost her completely. I’m writing this as I’m still sitting in a room an hour away from home looking for answers and waiting for results. I’ll get back to everyone when things have calmed down, and please say a prayer for our sweet girl.

She said yes. 💍✨

Last week I was invited by Frank to capture the moment he proposed to Jamie. We met ahead of time and chose a cozy corner of Ann Arbor's Diag. It was intimate, heartfelt, and such a joy to witness. And wow, are these two some of the most stunning people I've ever had in front of my lens.

I was even more excited when I realized the ring was designed by Keith at Lewis Jewelers. Fun fact: David Lewis and Keith Largin are both my uncles. David owns the store, and Keith is an incredibly talented designer. I see their rings out in the wild often (including my own), but it's always a fun coincidence when I meet a client who's already found their way to them and had such a great experience.

Congratulations, Frank and Jamie. Thank you for trusting me with one of the biggest moments of your story. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, adventure, and reasons to keep looking at each other the way you do in these photos. 🤍

It's amazing what you can capture in just twenty minutes at the studio. ✨

Sometimes little kids won't tolerate more than that. Sometimes you don't have the time or energy for a longer session. And honestly? Twenty minutes is plenty of time to create something beautiful.

There's just something about being back in Western Massachusetts that fills my soul. 🤍

I flew back to my college stomping grounds to photograph one of my best friends from my photo school days. (Good job, Joel. 😉) What started as a surprise for her ended up being a dream come true for me.

I left this session feeling completely at peace.

The gallery leaves me speechless- and I'm the one who was clicking the shutter. ☺️ I can't wait to share the rest, but for now, I'll leave you with this magical moment. ✨
