Alec + Krista had such a beautiful vision for their elopement day. They wanted to be surrounded by beautiful nature in Yosemite and share the experience with their closest family and friends.

Their day started at sunrise for their first look. Hannah and I picked Krista up at 4am and Alec drove separate so we could set them up for their special moment.

We got a stunning sunrise and no one else was around during their first look. After seeing each other, they exchanged crosses with each other as God is at the center of their marriage.

During sunrise we included the Bible into their photos along with their Bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:8. It opened up some amazing conversations where we got to share our faith with each other.

Later we met up with family for their ceremony at Cathedral Beach. El Capitan served as the backdrop for their ceremony and it couldn’t have been more beautiful.

Following the ceremony, everyone gathered for a picnic in the woods next to the ceremony site. Family and friends shared speeches about A + K to make it extra special.

After first dances, we headed off to Taft Point to catch sunset. As we were hiking people passing by kept saying they saw a bear ahead of us. Unfortunately as we hiked further we never seen the bear.

However we did get a stunning sunset overlooking the cliffs and valley. We had fun exploring around and climbing on some rocks. Krista’s veil looked incredible being backlit by the sun!

To end the evening we broke out the lanterns during blue hour and got creative. It was the perfect ending to their day.

Luma’s dress, the lighting, and the Top Gun vibes were such a moment in these photos. Hands down some of my favorites from their engagement session.

Minnesota’s North Shore never disappoints. I still have room for more engagement sessions or elopements in Minnesota for this summer and fall.

Mike + Luma’s engagement session on the North Shore was beyond incredible. Luma had never been to Palisade Head before and we had so much fun exploring the epic cliffs at sunrise.

The fun playful chemistry they have is so incredible. They are huge fans of Top Gun and Mike served time in the military on helicopters.

So it was only fitting that we had Top Gun inspiration into their shoot. The beach photos with the sun beaming off the water are some of my favorites that scream Top Gun.

The North Shore never ceases to amaze me with its beauty, and it’s even better when I get to capture an amazing experience for you.

We are sharing full behind the scenes of all our adventure elopements, personal adventures, and planning tips.

We hope these videos help to inspire and educate you as you plan your own elopement.

We’ve been dreaming of doing this for awhile now. It’s finally here!

Andrew + Chloe’s elopement day was beyond special! Right from the start we all clicked so well sharing a deep Christian faith.

Their whole day you could feel God’s presence as that was a huge priority for them. Both their families shared strong Christian values and it was so evident.

They made time for prayers and many references back to scripture during their ceremony.

God also blessed them with the most beautiful sunrise and sunset to top off their day. Every part of the day was so perfect even with the crazy gusting wind at sunset. It made for some dramatic photos which was amazing!

I’ll definitely be sharing some more from their day because I couldn’t fit everything into a single post. It was all too good.

Thank you Andrew + Chloe for having us capture one of the most important days in your lives. and I couldn’t feel more blessed!

I often get asked what are my favorite places I’ve ever traveled to.

This is a tough question because I’ve been fortunate to travel to many stunning places and each experience has been so unique and amazing.

So here’s a list of my favorite places for you to consider for your elopement:

1. New Zealand (slides 3 + 4): perhaps my favorite place in the world. The landscapes, lifestyle, and people are incredible. Every corner you turn will leave you speechless!

2. Iceland (slides 1 + 2): this is one of the most unique countries I’ve been to. The landscapes are otherworldly and the culture is amazing. Iceland is a must visit.

3. Australia (slides 5 + 6): I mean everyone wants to go to Australia. The people are so laid back and genuine. The beaches and rugged landscapes are next level.

4. The Serengeti (slides 7 + 8): Safari elopement anyone? Hands down the best experience I’ve had in my life. There’s nothing like seeing African wildlife in their own habitat. Plus the people, campsites, and food is incredible!

5. Colorado (slide 9): some of the best mountain hikes in the whole US.

6. Minnesota (slide 10): such an underrated state. The North Shore along Lake Superior has some of the best hiking and scenery in the US. Pro tip: visit in the fall for insane colors!

7. Montana (slide 11): Glacier NP is my favorite NP to date. The views and hikes are unreal!

8. Wyoming: (slide 12): Grand Teton NP is a close second with breathtaking alpine hikes. Plus there’s some incredible wilderness areas like the Wind River Range.

9. South Africa (slide 13): the mountains along the coast of Cape Town area is insane. Plus there’s so many other adventure like safaris, penguins, hiking, and more.

10. Switzerland (no photo): I went to Switzerland before I picked up a camera but it’s perhaps my second favorite country. I’ll be back there this September with room for 1 elopement.

11. Scotland (no photo): didn’t have any photos on my phone while posting but Scotland has so many amazing hikes, waterfalls, forests, castles, and more!

So excited for many more moments like these this year in the mountains!

Andrew + Chloe’s day was so incredible and got me so excited for the many more adventures to come.

In 50 days I’ll be back in Yosemite for an elopement and can’t wait. The mountains and valleys are so unique and stunning!

I’m excited to explore more of the park and create some beautiful art for my couple! These photos are from an elopement shoot 1.5 years ago.

We also just watched Free Solo yesterday of Alex Honnold free solo climbing El Capitan. That’s got me so pumped to go back and admire the magnificence of the rock face.

Absolutely insane he accomplished that. A + K will be getting married with El Capitan as their backdrop which will be incredible.
