Charlie and Elizabeth eloped on the Minnesota North Shore during the fall. The colors were peaking in certain areas and made for stunning backdrops.

They started their morning exploring the cliffs along Lake Superior at sunrise. Their morning started with a casual relaxing adventure.

After a fun sunrise session they headed back to their Airbnb to prepare for their elopement. We met back there to start getting ready with their family.

The Airbnb sat right on Lake Superior and was perfect for their first look out on the dock. Afterward we explored the rocky beach.

The whole family packed up afterward and we drove to the famous black beach for their ceremony. We found the perfect spot as they exchanged their vows and rings to make it official.

They celebrated afterward with cookies with the family that was a family inside story.

Charlie and Elizabeth sat down afterward to read letters from family and friends that weren’t there. Many laughs and happy tears came from the letters.

Finally as the sunset happened we explored the cliffs around the beach capturing fun adventurous photos with Minnesota’s beautiful fall backdrop.

I will never get over how stunning Minnesota is and how perfect it is for beautiful adventurous elopements.

One of the most insane sunsets I’ve experienced on an elopement day!

Andrew and Faith met me in Glacier National Park for their dream elopement day. Spoiler alert: it was insane!

We started their day with getting ready photos at the beautiful Glacier International Lodge.

Not shown is our stop at A&W for a quick meal before we went horseback riding. The crew at A&W gifted them 2 glass mugs for their wedding. It was an awesome surprise.

We then drove to east glacier to go trail riding. The horses were so amazing and didn’t flinch from the white dress. It was such an amazing experience.

The views with all the yellow fall colors were breathtaking. They had so much fun and it was amazing to capture.

After our ride, we drove into the park for their final sunset adventures and a vow exchange.

They got the full glacier treatment with gusting winds at Sun Point. It always makes for the most dramatic and stunning photos but you better be prepared. Faith got a full arm workout holding onto her veil.

But she said it was so worth it!

We ended their day with the last light at Big Bend. They exchanged their vows and popped ch*****ne to celebrate.

We were lucky enough to witness one of the most dramatic sunsets I’ve ever seen in the park and on an elopement day.

If you know me and how much I love dramatic light, I was very pumped up about it!

Josh + Savannah had a full vision for their elopement in Scotland. They wanted castle ruins, mountains, and a classic Scottish feel.

Isle of Skye was the perfect setting. We started their day off at their Airbnb in Elgol. After getting ready, we headed down to the beach to meet up with their Scottish celebrant.

They exchanged their vows at Elgol Beach on a beautiful sunny day. It was perfect.

After the ceremony we explored the beach capturing dramatic photos as the wind blew and the sun popped in and out.

After exploring, we headed to another location and they played some cards. This is something they love to do regularly.

We then met up with their brothers and sister in law for a nice dinner at the Kinloch Lodge. This place was so amazing!

Not only was it in a beautiful setting but the food was amazing. It’s a Michelin rated restaurant for a reason.

We finished their day off in the most Scottish way. Castle ruins sitting on a cliff with the ocean backdrop served as their final stop.

The dramatic Scottish weather was on full display. They explored the ruins, exchanged their vows, and Savannah’s family + friends surprised her with letters that she read.

What an unbelievable day from start to finish with so many laughs, happy tears, and memories made.

Brad + Brianna spent their elopement day exploring two stunning locations in Olympic National Park.

We started off their day with an early morning ceremony in the Hoh Rainforest. It was a cloudy and rainy morning that made for a magical lush green forest.

During their ceremony they included meaningful scripture from the Bible, letters from their family, and finally their vows. It was all so heartfelt and brought many emotions.

After their ceremony we explored the forest for a bit longer capturing beautiful portraits of them. The mossy forest was so breathtaking.

Their all black attire was so unique and looked incredible against the forest backdrop.

When we wrapped up the morning shoot, we headed off to their next campsite by the tree of life.

For the afternoon part of their elopement they decided to go more casual instead of staying in their wedding attire.

That’s the beauty of eloping. You get to create the day that you want without any expectations.

After capturing photos by the tree of life and around the campsite (peep the photo of their pups in their tuxs!), we headed off to Ruby Beach for sunset.

We explored around Ruby Beach and included a cake cutting, popping ch*****ne, and their first dance.

The rain was once again in and out. This made for the most insane stormy sky sunset over the sea stacks. It was the perfect ending to their elopement adventure.

Nick + Cassie instantly knew they wanted to elope in Glacier National Park. Cassie has visited Glacier many times and loved all the mountainous adventures.

Nick however had never been to Glacier. So they were extremely excited to experience it together.

They booked us for a 2 day adventure so we could go on multiple hikes together over the couple days to a variety of locations.

Day 1 started off early hiking in the dark before sunrise to one of the most stunning views in the park. They changed in the dark at the top, and shortly after shared a first look.

During their first look we had a beautiful sunrise and a mountain goat even paid a visit. It was pretty special.

After roaming around capturing photos in the wildflowers we headed back down. Along the way we came across a young grizzly and captured some nice photos and video as he passed along the trail.

We were excited to say the least! What a moment.

Their ceremony took place at Avalanche Creek. They had me say a prayer for them and then they shared their vows. Hannah and I love connecting with Christian couples! It’s so special.

After taking a mid day break, we met back up for a sunset adventure to Avalanche Lake. The pure excitement from them mixed with the dramatic mountains was magical.

We had fun exploring the rocky beach, running in the sand, and taking in the views.

Day 2 began with a hike to a waterfall where we embraced the heavy mist getting blown at us. I don’t know how to explain it but there’s always something that excites me about an epic waterfall.

I used my landscape photography skills to create a photo I’m really excited to share in the future. (Haven’t edited it yet)

Then we ended their second day with a dramatic sunset at Big Bend. The valley was filled with purple flowers from the fireweed.

We had such an incredible time exploring the park with Nick and Cassie. The pure joy and excitement they shared was contagious.

When I first met with Danielle about their elopement, they were back and forth on eloping in Washington or Lake Tahoe.

As you can see they decided on Lake Tahoe. One thing they wanted was to avoid the busy crowds however as Lake Tahoe gets crazy in the summer.

I started to research locations and eventually found this beach that is insanely beautiful but less popular as it requires a short hike.

We woke up early in the morning to arrive for sunrise. We got blessed with beautiful soft light in the morning as we explored around on the rocks and sand.

Eventually the sun slowly peaked out and lit them up beautifully along with the landscape. It was such a magical moment.

The best part was we didn’t see a single person during the 3 hours we explored the two beaches. It was perfect!

We then hiked back up through the redwoods taking a few photos along the way and headed off to our next spot.

We went to the Truckee Tunnels and captured photos that had a very ethereal vibe. The lighting was so fun to play with!

After our morning shoot, we met back up for sunset exploring more of Donner Pass and eventually ended at her family’s cabin.

One of my favorite parts is when Danielle went out on the paddleboard in her dress. The lighting was so stunning and her dress was perfect for the moment.

To end the first day we got spoiled with the most vibrant sunset. It was the perfect way to end their day filled with adventure.

The next day they had their official ceremony with their family at the cabin.

It was a nice intimate setting and a slower pace from the day before. The joy and laughter everyone shared was beautiful to capture.

I’m so thankful that I get to help plan and photograph core memories for every one of my couples. It’s such a blessing.

Patrick and Moira were blessed with the most dramatic lighting during their Glacier National Park elopement.

I talk about flexibility a lot for elopements. Their day was the perfect example.

We originally planned for sunrise but storms moved in overnight so we changed it to sunset when the skies would be better.

Conditions on each side of Logan Pass varied so we started at Sun Point where the weather looked better earlier.

The lighting was dramatic with clouds wrapping around the mountain peaks. Gusting wind added tons of drama into the photos blowing Moira’s veil, dress, and wind around.

If you know me I’m a sucker for a windy moody mountain shoot! I love the drama!

After exploring Sun Point, we originally planned to explore a hike into one of my favorite locations but the clouds were covering the area with no visibility.

So we adjusted to Big Bend as I knew it would be visible and stunning.

The sun popped in and out on the mountain peaks while we explored the area capturing photos on the rocks and in the fireweed flowers.

It was nothing short of magical!

They absolutely crushed the photos and I couldn’t get over their outfits! Patrick’s green suit was a unique color and looked amazing. Moira’s flowy dress, long veil with a shorter face covering, and optional sleeves were all so unique.

It was so fun getting creative with everything.

Both them and Glacier put on a show that night. I was beyond excited to capture and edit all their photos + sneak peeks.

Congrats Patrick + Moira on your elopement. It was so amazing getting to know you both. Thanks for the awesome adventure and trusting me to be flexible with everything.
