Meet Becca! She's a total badass who just came back from canoeing 8 miles to boot pack 5k so she could ski Mt. Moran in the Tetons. This was after being helicoptered into the backcountry of the Canada Rockies where she spent a week on a ski mountaineering course. Three years into living in Utah and I'm continuing to fall deeper in love with this state and the people who inhabit it. I'm amazed that I've still only scratched the surface of the Wasatch. This great backyard houses endless trails to be ridden, peaks to be hiked, and hidden gems to be explored!

My 4th of July holiday weekend kicked off with SUPing in the Tetons with my brother Erik. We paddled String Lake and did a short portage to Leigh Lake which we had to ourselves for sunset. Water sports are quickly becoming one of my favorite ways to experience National Parks.

Happy Father's Day to one of the raddest dads out there! I still can't keep up with this guy. My dad literally runs up mountains during lunch breaks in 100 degree weather. He also powered paraglides and recently got a into skulling. This is a throwback to a few summers ago when I had the most memorable day we've spent together. We checked off an adventure on both of our bucket lists; biking Going to the Sun road in Glacier National Park when it was closed to cars. We had he place to ourselves and were smiling from ear to ear the whole day soaking up the beautiful and wild state we were both lucky enough to be raised in.

Naturally I had to share a shot of one of my favorite ladies ripping for International Women's Day! Here is Robyn catching some sunset turns in the Sawtooths on our recent trip to Fishook yurt. Between working as a geologist and ski patroller, she tears up the mountains on her skis and bike. Stoked and grateful to have inspirational women like her in my life!

The Narrows is one of the more unique places I've explored while living in Utah. You meander through turquoise tinted water as orange canyon walls loom above you. Though it is an extremely popular trail in Zion National Park, I went there during the off season and ended up having the place to myself besides one other photographer I ran into while we were racing back to the trailhead to catch the last bus. We made it in the nick of time and avoided the 7 mile walk back to the visitor center. I'm thinking I'll have to bring my bike on my next visit so I can relish the quietness longer.

My first yurt trip was an increadible experience largely because of these two rad ladies. Cheers to Jana for being a total badass and breaking trail all day on the most unforgiving snow to get to the tops of mountains that seemed unreachable. You managed to do so without seeming to break a sweat or ever slowing down. Many thanks to Robyn for the endless laughs about the many ridiculous struggles I had on the trip, which included snapping my pole and almost sliding into a creek multiple times while tele skiing some spicy terrain on my split board as darkness approached.
