We went camping in the Uintas over the weekend so I thought it was perfect to bring back some of these photos from this engagement session last summer.⛰️

E, T, and Smokey are so in love with life. Photographing their engagements in a place so close to their hearts was so special. This session wasn't just meant to capture E & T's love story, but the life they've built with their dog, Smokey. Smokey fits so perfectly with their life, and seeing how happy they were in the mountains was the highlight of this gloomy morning.❤️

The relationship we build with our dogs is irreplaceable. They are with us for the little things, the big things, and the in-between. They are our everyday. If you think your dog will do well being photographed (some dogs get stressed and we definitely do not want to cause them any discomfort) and you want to include them in your engagement session, anniversary session, or just a casual session, please do not hesitate to do so.🫶

I am so excited to be back camping in the Uintas this weekend so let me reshare some of my favorite photos I've taken of C & C and their silly dogs, Anne and Colby, at Mirror Lake.❤️

The golden light, C & C's playful energy, and the dogs' happiness - what a perfect way to spend that morning.☀️ These were taken two summers ago but I find myself revisiting their gallery from time to time because the photos make me smile.

B & C's engagements in the Tetons ⛰️

This morning was very chilly but it felt so warm spending this time with these two. They have a light, playful energy, and I could really feel their connection from the moment we met.♥️ My favorite part was seeing them light up when they talked about how they met and how they started dating. They are so lucky to have found a home in each other, and I am so lucky to have seen even just a glimpse of that happiness and capture it.☀️

M lives in SoCal, and we originally met through our dog Instagram. We shared a love for dog training and our everyday life with dogs. So when my husband and I were on a trip to SoCal in the fall of 2023 with our dogs, we met up with M and her dog, Finn. It was so fun finally meeting our dog Instagram friends after talking online for so long.

Two and a half years later, I was back in SoCal for a wedding, and I also got to do engagement photos for M & J.❣️

M & J's engagement session in Southern California wasn't about performing for the camera but about living in the rhythm of their everyday life together with Finn.

We're so used to styling engagement sessions, but this one was meant to reflect what life looks like for them day to day. Finn is part of so many of their adventures, from frequent beach trips to everyday exploring, and I wanted to highlight how much M & J love doing life with him. It was casual, laid back, and most importantly, a true representation of them.

Documenting dogs being dogs and their relationship with their humans is my favorite part about having them at sessions. This engagement session wasn't just about the next chapter of M & J's relationship, but about the fuller picture of the life they've already created with Finn.

I believe that the most meaningful engagement sessions are the ones that reflect your personalities, your story, and your real life together, like the places you return to, the routines you love, and all the little details that feel like home.🌴

We went out to dinner after our session and spent the rest of the evening hanging out. I didn't have my dogs this time with me, but I'm looking forward to doing another California road trip with them so they can also reunite with their pal, .tothe.rescue.💖

J & J on the Staten Island Ferry ⛴️

Intimate, romantic, cinematic - everything we envisioned for their engagement session. It was windy, chilly, but it was so beautiful. We got to watch seagulls following us, run around the ferry like we were the only ones there, and got to see the stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

Their connection is the perfect embodiment of young love - dreamy, soft, and free. So honored to have been able to capture it.❣️ I recently blogged about this session. Read more about it in the link in my bio.💖

"Palagi." Always.

12 years of love, 12 years of growth. Years of waiting to be living in the same place again.

This post-wedding session with Z + B was everything.❣️We wanted this session to be colorful, intentional, and full of life. The little grocery store that Z shops at, subway transition shots, and The Ditty bar all mean something meaningful that is rooted in their story and relationship.

They got married at the city hall on their 12th anniversary, and we had our session just 2 days after. They welcomed me into their home like I'm a familiar friend, which made photographing them easy. It was so fun watching them be playful with each other, as well as guiding them into poses that felt more mature, grounded, and inspired by their energy.💖
