I’ve been so excited to start using my new light wall in the studio, and this sweet newborn session was the perfect opportunity!

Before the session, Mom warned me that her new baby had serious FOMO, and she was not kidding. Little Miss wanted to stay awake and be part of everything! She spent so much of our session taking in the world around her, and honestly, her sweet expressions were worth it.

We actually started with my traditional studio lighting and then took a few images with the light wall. The family loved the soft, natural look so much that we ended up continuing the rest of the session using the light wall alone.

The light it creates is so soft, airy, and beautiful, and it adds such a timeless feel to newborn images. I absolutely loved photographing this adorable little one and her family, and I’m already looking forward to using the light wall for many more newborn sessions to come.

Happy Friday! ☀️

One of the things I love most about summer is being able to offer mini sessions for families who want updated photos without committing to a full session. When the weather is hot, schedules are busy, and little ones have shorter attention spans, a quick and relaxed mini session can be the perfect fit!

This summer, I’m doing things a little differently. Rather than setting specific dates and locations, I’m offering flexible mini sessions June through August at a location of your choice. I’ll build the session around your family and your schedule, making it easy to capture beautiful memories without the stress.

And while I’m soaking up summer, I’m already planning an exciting fall lineup with some gorgeous locations and lots of session options! 🍂 Fall sessions will be released in July, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

What I love about in-home newborn sessions is how personal they are. I love incorporating meaningful details like the nursery you’ve carefully prepared, special keepsakes, and of course, beloved family pets! 🐾

Every home tells a story, and those little details help create images that feel uniquely yours.

I truly love both in-home and studio newborn sessions for different reasons. Studio sessions offer a beautiful, controlled environment, while in-home sessions capture your family in the place where so many of your first memories together are being made. I’m grateful to be able to offer both and help families choose the experience that feels right for them.

This sweet session included all my favorites—a beautiful nursery, lots of family snuggles, and a furry family member who was very proud of his new baby. ❤️

One of my favorite things about photography is discovering new beauty in familiar places. ✨

I had so much fun exploring with this adventurous couple during their maternity session! Even though I’ve photographed at this location before, we wandered a little farther, found some new hidden gems, and created so much variety in their gallery. From open fields to beautiful natural backdrops, every spot seemed made for them.

These two were up for anything, which always makes for the best sessions. I absolutely love how their album came together, and now I can’t wait to meet their little one soon! 🤍

Keeping the twin theme going this week! 💕

After sharing a senior session with twins, it feels only fitting to follow it up with my very first twin newborn session. I was so excited to photograph these sweet babies, and honestly, they made my job so easy!

Welcoming one newborn into your family is a big adjustment—welcoming two at the same time is truly incredible. Watching these proud parents settle into life with their twins and capturing all the tiny details, snuggles, and moments in the comfort of their home was such an honor.

These little ones were absolute dream babies, and I loved documenting this special season for their family. It was such a joy to spend the morning with them and preserve these early days before they change so quickly.

Twin senior sessions ✨

One of the things I loved most about photographing these sisters was giving each of them their own evening to shine. By splitting their sessions across two nights, we had plenty of time for outfit changes, different locations, and capturing each girl’s unique personality without feeling rushed.

And, as always, Maymont was absolutely showing off for both sessions. 🌿☀️

Extended family sessions can feel a little like photographing a mini wedding—making sure we capture all the important groupings, grandparents with grandkids, siblings together, individual families, and everything in between. But some of my favorite images are the in-between moments: the laughter, the hugs, the kids being kids, and the connections that make each family unique.

This crew was so much fun, and these images are just a small glimpse of one family within a much larger extended family session!

Summer is one of the most popular times to gather everyone together, making it the perfect opportunity to update those family photos while everyone is in the same place. ☀️
