While the Kalwa family was visiting us from FL, we made sure to take them to our favorite VA places, like Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.🪷🦋🌳
I haven’t photographed their family since Ella was a baby so we decided some updated family photos were in order. And you couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location than Lewis Ginter!😍

My family moved to Midlothian, VA within a few months of the McCloskey family and we became fast friends. Being new to the area, having kids the same age and going through the same experiences together, it was kismet!🥰 It has been an honor and a joy to photograph this sweet family's memories over the last couple years.
Knowing they were getting ready to move again, I wanted to make sure they had photos to preserve this moment in time, to look back on this season, their beautiful home and all the cherished memories they made here.💗 I'm so glad we were able to squeeze in one last portrait session before we said *see you later!* 🥹

“Today is going to be my peaceful day” 🙏🏻☮️🕊️
What a moving experience to meet and hear from the Venerable Monks on day 99 of their .usa journey! We arrived at their lunch stop in Chester, VA just in time to be let in (with what they said was their biggest crowd yet in Virginia👏🏼) to hear them speak.

We’re so grateful we got to witness and be a small part of this incredible movement and that we each received a blessing bracelet. Seeing the thousands of fellow Virginians coming together in frigid temperatures with respect and joyful smiles, different backgrounds and different religions, we all want the same thing: peace and love in our world. 🥹🙏🏻☮️❤️‍🩹🌍
Blessed to share this once in a lifetime experience with my family.🥰

We successfully surprised the boys with adding two rescue kittens to our family just in time for Christmas! 🥹😻😻🤗💖🎉✨
We have been wanting to adopt a new cat since losing Nika but with multiple moves, the timing just wasn’t right. Now that we’re very settled here, we knew we wanted to grow our family with a pet soon. Then I came across a post in our neighborhood facebook group saying these two sweet kittens rescued by needed a home. One was a stray found in West Virginia and the other found under an abandoned building- even though they’re not litter mates, they quickly bonded like brothers while being fostered together for a month. Learning that, we knew we had to adopt both of them together!🥹🫶🏻
Peter and I went to meet them this past Friday and were able to bring them to their on Monday! 😻
We waited to surprise the boys with the kittens once Grammy, Papa and Uncle Ben arrived from MA, making the surprise all the more special! 🤗🎉
We are ALL so in love with Bingo and Oreo! 🧡🤎🖤🤍😽😽

Feeling nostalgic as we enter into our 7th Christmas Season living in Virginia.🥰 From Williamsburg to NOVA to Midlo, we’ve moved around a few times but we have continued to create so many cherished memories and new family traditions, spending the holidays here.✨
It only felt right to take this year’s Christmas photos back where our love for Virginia began, in our favorite, !
