Look, I know it’s still hot outside and it may feel way too soon to think of this; however, it really is time to start thinking about those fall sessions this year. Like most photographers, fall gets to be the busiest time of year and I know it does for families too. School will be in full swing, along with sports and not to mention holiday season right around the corner. If fall pictures are something you want to check off your list for the year or season, now is a great time to start the process. I am so excited for this year’s foliage with all the rain we’ve had! But seriously, how are we already talking fall sessions when it’s supposed to be 100°+ this week 🫠

Easiest way to get started booking with me is to submit an inquiry through my contact form on my website. After you hit submit, I get an email with Al your information and then reach back out to you to start planning. DMs work, but they do create a lot of back and forth whereas my email gives you and me all the information needed to make the process seamless 🫶🏻

There’s something I’ve been avoiding talking about because I haven’t been ready and I think I may be ready to start the conversation.

I started this year believing it would look very different from what it does now. When the breakup was fresh I didn’t know how I was physically going to carry on. It felt like my body was just going through the motions. And it felt that way for quite some time.

How was I supposed to show up for my business in this state? How was I suppose to promote myself while my world had crumbled? The world kept going while I stayed frozen.

You know that “Let Them” theory that’s been pretty popular lately? Let people do what they want to do and it will show you who they are? Let them leave, let them say nothing, let them etc. Well I have a spin on that, let them be there for you too. Let them stay. Let people be there in your ugliness. Let them see the unpolished side of you. Life isn’t fair and you can’t control the circumstances but I’ve had to learn to let people be there for me and lean into those connections.

I’m not where I want to be but I’ve started creating for myself again and making myself get in front of the camera like I used to when I had that fire inside me. To me, those are signs that things are getting better. Even if it’s 1% better each day, it’s still progress. If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been lately(or even if you haven’t lol), this is part of the answer and I’m thankful to finally feel that creative spark return.
