Whether it’s a mountaintop portrait or fast-paced sports action, I bring a calm, candid style that puts people at ease and delivers images that feel alive. I’ve worked with high schools, colleges, magazines, and brands—but one of my proudest projects was when Christopher Newport University commissioned my life-size portraits to decorate their lacrosse team’s locker room. I combine creative instinct with strong technical skill to frame every shot with intention and bring out the best in every subject. Every shoot is a chance to create something personal, timeless, and real.

What if a tintype camera could capture the action?

Here are a few favorites from this year’s Cedar Creek reenactment. I’m building on a look I tried last year at Wayside Inn: a vintage, tintype-inspired feel, keeping muted color and capturing everything from quiet camp moments to the guns firing.

The idea is to carry that atmosphere through the whole weekend. A few moments, especially sunrise, keep more of their natural color because the light is part of the story.

The full album is a work in progress! I’ll be editing and adding photos through Wednesday, October 21, so check back as it grows.

There is exciting progress happening at the historic Heater House, and we’re taking you behind the scenes with Renovation Concepts! 👷‍♂️🚧

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, Phase 2 is nearing the halfway point, and we are closing in on the funding needed to begin Phase 3: A BRAND-NEW ROOF! 🏠

Every motorsports event has its mornings. Some are chaotic. Some are routine. A hillclimb morning has a quiet, almost pensive feel.

Someone stretches. Someone pulls on a race suit. A driver gives her car one last check. Workers get into position, and timing gets set up.

Everyone has something to do, but there’s a quiet flow to it all. A little conversation, a few familiar rituals, a moment to gather your thoughts before the first car heads up the hill.

Some cars just belong under the lights downtown.
Andrew Koons' 1950 Pontiac Silver Streak was one of those cars I kept coming back to during LS Fest.
Bowling Green was an awesome host for the weekend. Between LS Fest, Ultra4 and cars taking over the town square before everything got loud at Beech Bend, the whole city felt like part of the event.
Absolutely love the character of this thing — the patina, the stance, and a build that isn't trying to look like anything else.
