I don’t mind one bit that I’m closing in on 52. The wrinkles, loss of eyesight and the addition of every rude menopausal symptom is just part of it. 😜 I don’t mind one bit that I choose a 650 square foot studio to live in rather than a house. It’s easier to manage and no grass to mow! 🏡 I don’t mind one bit being single, even after 5+ years. I can make myself laugh, at my own expense. Don’t mind one bit spending a Friday at the laundromat. 👚 The people I meet are often phenomenal. I don’t mind one frugal Goodwill moment, so I can be financially secure with my single income in a dual income society. 💵There are lots of things I don’t mind. Considering the alternative.

But what I LOVE about being almost 52 is my growing confidence. Not only in myself on a personal level, but on a professional level too. I no longer take every shoot coming my way. I don’t overshoot out of worry I won’t get what I need..I overshoot because I know how to get what I want, and apparently I want all of it. 🤣 And that comes from experience…which builds confidence. And even though there are a lot of things I am not confident in, my ability to photograph a home isn’t one of them.
