There’s something incredibly special about getting to photograph a love story that found its way through the hard chapters. ❤️

Last night in Columbus, I had the absolute joy of celebrating Anita & Scott’s anniversary with a golden hour session that felt so perfectly them.

Their story is one of second chances. After both walking away from difficult marriages, they found each other — and together they’ve built a life filled with genuine love, happiness, laughter, and the kind of connection that comes from truly appreciating the person beside you.

And of course, no celebration of their life together would have been complete without Bailey & Bernie in tow! 🐾❤️ These two definitely made sure they were part of the action.

The golden light, the laughter, the pups, and the way Anita & Scott still look at each other made this such a beautiful evening to document.

Here’s to the love you find after you thought the best chapters might already be behind you — and to discovering that sometimes, they’re only just beginning.

Happy Anniversary, Anita & Scott! 🥂✨

🌹 Hope + Josh | Park of Roses | Columbus, Ohio 🌹

Some engagement sessions just feel effortless, and Hope and Josh’s was exactly that. From quiet moments beneath the garden canopy to laughter among the roses and golden evening light, every part of this session reflected the genuine joy they share together.

The Park of Roses gave us the perfect backdrop with its winding gardens, vibrant blooms, and timeless beauty, but it was Hope and Josh’s connection that truly made these images come alive. Their smiles, the way they looked at each other, and the excitement they share for the future made this session such a joy to photograph.

Congratulations, Hope and Josh! 💍 We can’t wait to be part of your wedding day and capture the beginning of this next chapter together.

Smale Riverfront Park is one of Cincinnati’s most versatile engagement session locations, and Jess & Joe’s session is the perfect example of why. From the iconic Roebling Suspension Bridge and skyline views to beautiful gardens, riverfront paths, and quiet pockets of greenery, every turn offers a completely different backdrop.

Jess & Joe were an absolute joy to photograph, and we’re so excited for this next chapter in their lives. A fun full-circle moment from this session—Joe proposed at the iconic LOVE Covington sign just across the river in Northern Kentucky! It was only fitting that we incorporated the spot where their forever began before exploring all the incredible scenery Smale Riverfront Park has to offer. These are the kinds of meaningful locations that make engagement sessions so personal and unforgettable.

Their gallery is also a wonderful reminder that our Associate Wedding Collection includes the same attention to detail, artistry, and client experience that Magnolia Valley Photography is known for. As the owner, I shoot all of the engagements for my associate wedding day packages so I can get to know my amazing clients. It was lovely to get to know this adorable couple!

We’re incredibly proud of our talented lead photography team and the beautiful work they create for our couples.

Tara & Brandon Foss | Beavercreek, Ohio 🤍

There was something incredibly peaceful about Tara and Brandon’s wedding day. Every detail, every conversation, every prayer, and every promise reflected a marriage being built on a foundation far greater than themselves.

Their love for one another was unmistakable, but what stood out just as beautifully was their shared love for Jesus Christ. Their faith wasn’t simply a part of the ceremony—it was the heartbeat of the entire day.

From the vows they exchanged to the way they looked at one another, it was evident that they desire a marriage that honors Him above all else.
As a photographer, documenting days like this is such a privilege. It’s an honor to preserve not only the joyful moments and beautiful details, but also the quiet expressions of faith that make a wedding day so deeply meaningful.

Tara and Brandon, thank you for trusting Magnolia Valley Photography to tell your story. We pray your marriage is filled with grace, unwavering joy, and a lifetime of growing together in Christ.

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:12 🤍

Some weddings are elegant. Some are emotional. And some are simply filled with joy.

Fran and Scott’s wedding at Gahanna was all of those things.

From the moment they saw each other, it was obvious that these two don’t just love one another—they truly enjoy one another. The laughter was constant, the smiles were effortless, and every moment felt genuine.

But what stood out just as much was the incredible love surrounding them. Their day was centered around family, lifelong friendships, and celebrating the people who have walked alongside them on this journey.

Those are the moments that make a wedding unforgettable.

Congratulations, Fran & Scott. Thank you for allowing Magnolia Valley Photography to be part of such a beautiful beginning. Wishing you a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and the same joy you shared so freely on your wedding day. 🤍

The Altieri Wedding | Gervasi Vineyards

Some weddings are remembered for the details. Others are remembered for the people.
The Altieri wedding was one of those days where love and laughter filled every corner of Gervasi Vineyards. From heartfelt speeches that had everyone wiping away tears to hilarious stories from college that had the room roaring with laughter, every moment reflected the life these two have built with the people they love most.

What stood out most wasn’t just the beautiful venue or the elegant details—it was the genuine joy. The kind that’s impossible to stage. Family members hugging a little longer, lifelong friends reliving memories, and a dance floor that stayed full because no one wanted the night to end.

These are the moments that become part of a family’s story, and it’s such an honor to preserve them.

Congratulations again, Altieri family. Thank you for inviting me into such an unforgettable celebration. 🤍

The perfect wedding photos aren’t perfect at all.

They’re the ones where mascara is running because a bride is hugging her mom one last time before walking down the aisle.

They’re the groom trying to hold back tears as he sees his bride for the first time.
They’re the flower girl clutching her bouquet with both hands because she’s taking her important job so seriously.

They’re the group hug with lifelong friends, the stolen glance across the room, the quiet moment remembering someone who couldn’t be there, and the laughter that wasn’t planned.

Those are the images that stop you in your tracks.

To every bride reading this: don’t spend your wedding day chasing perfection. Don’t worry about whether every hair is in place or whether every smile is camera-ready.
Instead, be intentional.

Hold your spouse’s hand a little longer. Hug your parents without rushing. Laugh loudly. Cry freely. Look around the room and soak it all in. Be present with the people who helped shape your story.

As photographers, we can guide poses and find beautiful light. But we can’t manufacture genuine emotion.

The most meaningful images aren’t created by perfect posing—they’re created by authentic moments filled with love, joy, gratitude, and connection.

Years from now, you won’t remember every pose.
You’ll remember how it felt.

And if you let yourself truly live your wedding day, your gallery will let you feel it all over again. 🤍

Some places become part of your story long before a wedding day ever arrives.

For Brittany and Austin, the Park of Roses wasn’t just a beautiful backdrop—it was a place filled with meaning. Walking the same paths, laughing between the blooms, and slowing down for a little while made this session feel less like taking photos and more like preserving a chapter of their story.

The most meaningful engagement sessions aren’t about finding the most dramatic location. They’re about choosing a place that already holds a piece of your heart. Years from now, these photographs won’t just remind them of what they looked like—they’ll remind them exactly where they were in this season of life and why it mattered.

I can’t wait to celebrate these two on their wedding day. 🤍

Some couples don’t have to try very hard.

Adrianna & Brandt have a quiet kind of love—the kind that’s found in shared smiles, lingering glances, and the comfort of simply being together.

As we wandered through the gardens, stopped by the fountain, and found little pockets of light along the way, there was never a need to force a moment. They laughed, teased each other, and naturally settled into the kind of connection that every photographer hopes to capture.

That’s one of my favorite things about engagement sessions. They’re less about perfect poses and more about creating space for a couple to slow down and enjoy this season of life before the wedding day arrives.

Adrianna & Brandt, thank you for trusting me to document this chapter of your story. I’m so excited to celebrate alongside you when you say “I do.”

Some engagement sessions feel like an adventure, and Katie & Jake's was exactly that.
We started beneath the iconic arches of Music Hall, where the city's history met the excitement of this new chapter. From there, we wandered through downtown Cincinnati, eventually making our way to the top of the Walgreens building, where the skyline gave us the perfect backdrop as the sun began to set. We wrapped up the evening in the heart of the city, soaking in the energy of downtown and capturing the kind of moments that can't be scripted.

That's what I love most about engagement sessions—they're not just about beautiful locations. They're about exploring together, slowing down, laughing between poses, and documenting the connection that already exists long before the wedding day arrives.
One of my favorite parts of this session wasn't just something we photographed—it was the story behind it. The fur coat Katie wore belonged to her grandmother.

Katie's grandmother was a single mother who moved from West Virginia with Katie's mom when she was just three years old, determined to build a new life. She taught kindergarten by day and worked a second job in the fur department at McAlpin's. After her father passed away, she used the $2,500 he left her—along with a generous discount from a supplier she'd become friends with—to purchase the coat. It's even embroidered with her name on the inside.

To see that same coat, decades later, worn during her granddaughter's engagement session... that's the kind of story I love preserving. Photographs become even more meaningful when they carry pieces of the generations that came before us.

Katie & Jake made every stop feel effortless. Their joy, their laughter, and the way they naturally gravitate toward each other made this session one I'll remember for a long time.
I cannot wait to celebrate these two again on their wedding day. ❤️
