a little excerpt from my quiet time with Jesus this morning-
2 Timothy 3:10-11a: “You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me…”
Paul is talking to Timothy here and saying Timothy has followed the teachings of Jesus, the goal of making Jesus’ name known, staying in the faith, in patience, love & steadfastness while enduring with Paul in suffering and persecutions for their faith.
This was truly a challenge and eye opening passage for me this morning. I pray that my life follows these characteristics, no matter the persecution or trial I may face for Jesus. I pray that I will be known as loving, patient, striving towards the goal of sharing the life of Jesus to others, following & knowing the Word of God, staying in the faith, & that my conduct towards others reflects Jesus’s conduct & character.
This is a reminder to those who call Jesus Lord to abide in these things, no matter the challenges. & for those who don’t know Jesus, that’s okay. You are still loved here & even more so loved by our Heavenly Father.
