I don’t call them students because we are all a family of actors! i remember coming to the first class a few years ago, and his actor family just watched him make the big screen 📺 so proud and humbled by his words to me.

it was such an honor because tonight it was not about “me” but about the “we”, and having his fellow actors take over the theater and support him on his journey. I’ve never been so proud… your talents and hard training got you here but it’s who you are that’s going to make you unstoppable!

what an honor it is to be part of such an amazing project… Now more than ever we need to educate everyone about our oceans and their importance. wonderful to see some legends who built South Florida continuing to invest in its growth and health. And to see the new guard wanting to carry the torch forward.

We made a movie!?
Back in May of 2020 when locked down in an apartment in Miami with my family I knew I needed to get out for a bit of fresh air and do something creative. I thought a camping trip would be the best idea for my sanity. Then I had a crazy thought - let me create a, “Bubble Film Project” while the entire film industry is shutdown.
Being a director and having amazing actors around me (including my own teens)... I rallied friends that are actors, writers, and producers in the industry to join me at the campsite. I had the plot, but nothing on paper. I just knew that I wanted to make a silly comedy that would keep you thinking - but most importantly something to put a smile on everyone’s faces during this crazy time.
With so much talent around the ideas just kept coming! From the crazy long nights of writing scenes, to then giving them to the kids just hours before filming. The parents cooking, shopping, and helping with online school between figuring out wardrobe on the spot. It all seems crazy now. When I saw all these actors place their total trust into me as their director I knew we were making something special. I had the feeling of overwhelming honor!
You really get to know yourself in the toughest times..my take on it is there are people that cause the chaos, there are those that run from the chaos, and there are those that embrace the chaos and make something wonderful from it! I can vouch for everyone in this movie that they are my kinda crazy, and they definitely leaned into the chaos and made it happen.
But fast forward to today, I just had the chance to share, “Corona Camp” the movie with my cast and I could not be more proud and can’t wait to share Corona Camp with you! I think we made an absolutely fun “campy” movie and possibly a future cult classic - only time will tell!
