Born & Raised in charming Ann Arbor, Michigan, artist & freelance photographer Perris "Tumbao" Williams has been acquainted with the arts from the start. The son of an Industrial Designer & Ceramacist; Perris' photography career began in 2002, during artistic late nights with his mother in The University of Michigan darkrooms. Perris entered The Western Michigan University - Gwen Frostic School o

f Art in the fall of 2007, where he concentrated on visual & graphic art, before eventually reacquainting himself with digital photography. In the Spring of 2009 Perris became a member of the largest Latino-based, Multicultural fraternal organization in the world, Sigma Lambda Beta, International Fraternity, Inc.. Perris' initiation into the ΣΛΒ brotherhood, also marked the birth of his alter ego "Tumbao" the curious & eccentric artist, as well as "Mantequilla" the witty & innovative photographer. Telling stories via photo has been an active pursuit for Perris' for more than 15 years. Eager to find his next inspiration, Perris is likely to be found behind his DSLR in a park or street near you.
