The torrential rain and 50 mph hour wind paused for just 20 minutes or so, giving me a brief window to launch the drone and make this photo of a couple walking towards the legendary church at Ingjaldshólskirkja. Some favorites as we are wrapping up our Iceland trip. We've nearly completed the Ring Road that encircles the island. The weather has been a challenge. Locals tell us it was a very cold, wet and windy summer, and we are glad we came well prepared. A few more bucket list locations / subjects left. Enjoy. On July 30, 2019, I was hired to film and photograph the successful world record attempt by long-distance swimmer Pablo Fernandez to swim 100 km unassisted in the open ocean offshore the east coast of Florida. Here's a short clip of some of the highlights of the day. I created all content with the exception of the music, selected by Pablo. Equipment used included the Nikon D850 and Nauticam housing for underwater sequences, DJI Inspire 2 and x5s camera for aerials, and the iPhone 8+ and DJI Oslo Mobile for surface shots. This was a LOT OF WORK but different and fun, too. Huge thanks to everyone, especially to Gerry and the Jupiter Dive Center crew. Enjoy!
