One of the greatest things you can do for yourself, is to learn who you are. The years are flying by, and sometimes we get so caught up in the marathon that is life that we forget to check in with ourselves and see how we are doing.
What that looks like for me is that I take so much on my plate that I end up with a bottleneck of work, studies, and editing that I canโt even figure out where to start. Well, this past weekend was a much needed busy break for me where I filled my time with fun. I had a friend visiting, I went to some restaurants, took a drive, went to a mall and treated myself a bit.
I feel rejuvenated and ready to move forward, to work through the mountain that is before me but by bit. I did some editing yesterday and I have a lot more to do in the coming weekends but I am excited to get through it all and deliver the images from the shoots Iโve been doing.
This image is one I took about a year ago, just a couple days before testing positive for Covid, and marked a time where I used my quarantine to propel myself to a high standard of photo editing. This image is the result of that learning, and now one year later, I am making another change to my editing process. A more practical change that may seem like a step back, but is going to renew my love and joy for the process.
Have a good day.
