What changes when a fragrance reviewer becomes the person selling the perfume? A familiar voice can make a new bottle tempting for reasons worth examining.

My artist interview with Digital Arts Blog is live.

Cansu Waldron and I explored the thread connecting my photography background with my work today: experimenting with images, building systems and leaving room for discovery.

The feature includes GeoPop, Cosmic Cowboy, Cosmogenesis, FloraPop and more, along with a little about acting, character comedy and fragrance.

Rose perfume gets dismissed before some people even smell it. Are we reacting to the flower, or to one particular kind of rose fragrance?

Layering two fragrances can sound simple, but the result depends on what each scent is doing and how you combine them. There’s a better way to approach it than just guessing.

Have you ever returned to a photograph years later and noticed something that barely registered before?

The moment in the photograph hasn’t changed. Your attention, memories, and experience have. A familiar image can mean something different at another point in your life.

That possibility is part of what I love about making work you can revisit.

With my interactive art on Bitcoin, you can also change the encounter itself. Pause Cosmogenesis or explore its different speeds. Return to FloraPop as its colors change with blockchain time. Use FloraPop Studio to make a composition of your own.

You can follow your curiosity and discover something I never anticipated.

I still return to these works, enjoy them, and feel proud that I brought them into existence. They’ve become more significant to me over time.

Whether it’s something you created or a work you’ve grown attached to, there’s a particular pleasure in finding that it still has something to offer you years later.
